as as for VOTING, did you not witness that YOUR VOTE DOES NOT COUNT (again, at the federal level) (and even at some ‘States’, but I digress).
If we FIRM UP our State laws, the FEDS will have little to no influence.
we here in IDAHO are doing just that, we’ve introduced legislation (state level) to FIRM UP support for 2nd amendment rights. the goal is to ‘trump’ (don’t you just love that word) Federal law,
this is what I’m suggesting. don’t waste your time with Congress. it’s LOST,
win your STATES and the FEDS will follow.
PS, also support your local DA’s. THEY are the ones who prosecute GUN use, If you LAWFULLY defend yourself (and I hope you never have to) YOU BETTER have a Local DA who believes in the 2nd Amendment. if you don’t, then nothing will save you.

So, how much of your time or money was wasted in this? If you object to Tim doing something on your behalf, will you spend you actual time and/or money to do these things locally yourself? If you don’t want to sign the petition Tim sent, then don’t.
Yes. We need to do this locally. I am active in my local community along with many others. We made this a 2nd amendment county then a state. We are now a free state.
I disagree that Biden will see this. He is protected from things the Party dislikes. He is told what to say, what to read, what to think and probably when to take a dump.
We need groups like USCCA to take the fight to places we deplorable have no access.
I would like to see more than a letter. Follow it up with Newsmax and OAN appearances, raise awareness of USCCA and what it does for regular Americans and for 2A cause.
I am in the process now of trying to get a GOA chapter started for my state and to get my town declared a Second Amendment Sanctuary. I’ve talked to my Representatives at every level and keeping a board of legislation coming down from the Federal level. There has actually been some movement on some good 2A both state and Federal.

We all know that our “government” wants to revoke C/C not expand it! I’d like to sign the petition, but I want to know if the names of those who sign it will actually appear on the document. Not interested in unwittingly supplying the Deep State with easy access for BATF stormtroopers.

This letter was a good move. It doesn’t “show your opponent that you hold a losing hand” it shows that somebody is watching and doesn’t stay quiet.
How lovely…except that I initially quit reading it by the second paragraph and I can’t expect that a leftist would even get there. if you want to reach the “I’m totally accepting of all people except republicans or 2nd amendment types”, you might start off writing it like,
“BEWARE, YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE TRIGGERED BY LEARNING THE TRUTH.”
As the first line and then put in short blips of info appealing to their feelings and emotions like,
“Do you like seeing innocent children and teachers murdered? No? We’ve tried gun bans, magazine bans, and other restrictive measures but it hasn’t stopped the murders. Let’s try something that will work!!! Things like…”
I like Liberals. Liberals help smooth out conservative’s rough edges. they help balance us. What I don’t like are progressives. They have turned their party into a cesspool of ignorance and stupidity. Liberals tend to also believe in their country and work towards bettering it. Progressives tend to want to see their country burn to the ground because they don’t like something about it. Progressives tend to believe that they should suffer because of what their country has done rather than learn from it and grow.
Reaching liberals shouldn’t be the goal…they’re easy to reach. THEY AREN’T the problem…its the progressives that are and this write up won’t reach them. When you have a progressive with the attention span that ranges from half a second to 2 seconds, you have to appeal to their emotions and “feelings” in order to tap into their brain long enough to get them to use that mass between their ears. I deal with them all the time…I live in Southern California…trust me I know. I used to waste my time trying to appeal to their intellect till I realized, they’ve been so indoctrinated that they tune out unless I appeal to their emotions and feelings.
I guess I simply don’t understand why we keep trying to appeal to their intelligence before we even have their attention or get them to drop their guard and be willing to consider reality.
to 45IPAC. I actually spend ‘considerable’ time and $ at the local level. As I noted, I’m a member of the Idaho 2nd Amendment Alliance https://www.idahosaa.org/ (If you live in Idaho, Please considering joining). The primary focus of this organization is on the political process at the ‘state’ level. Report cards for our Legislators (during election cycles) and proposed legislation (anti or Pro Gun). I attend the Rally’s at our Capitol (and other places in the state). As a Business owner, I proudly display my I2AA decal in the front window and encourage my customers to join. I send emails to my state representatives and state senators regularly. I believe THIS is more effective than spending my time and money at the federal level. the 2 senators for our state spend their time chirping in the corners like crickets (where were THEY when We (and Trump) needed them?? Our Congressional Representative is good, but his hands are tied as long as the house is controlled by the commies. So I will not spend any money or time with these people.
Supporting 2A at the local & state level is FANTASTIC- I commend you for that.
But I hope you do realize that federal law and SCOTUS can strike down local & state law whenever it’s convenient…
I was looking for an explanation on what grounds it can happen. Constitutionality, granted. Standing, e.g., FL has no standing in hypothetical federal registry for “assault” weapons. What about enforcement, can a state effectively forbid enforcement of federal law?
I’ m not a Lawyer, but if I recall my civics classes in school, the 10th amendment says
" Before any federal law can enjoy federal legal supremacy, it must meet the stated standards of this section, which states that all federal laws must be made first and foremost in pursuance (or furtherance) of the Constitution itself, to include the Bill of Rights, which became an equal part of the U.S. Constitution on December 15, 1791.
I interpret this as saying, that the federal government CANNOT violate the constitution that the states are upholding. therefor, if the feds pass act or laws that ‘violate’ the constitution, we (the States) can push back. and besides, what would the Feds do? send in the troops?
I’d personally like to see a State (any state) tells the feds to ‘stick it’. Like Florida (Bravo for Rick Santos). The more state Governors and state legislators PUSH BACK on the feds, the more power the states will retain. over the years, the states have become prostitutes to the feds (their pimp) afraid that if they don’t do what the feds say, they will not get any $. I call that extortion.
That’s great to hear. I live in Illinois. Where the down state reps are Pro 2A, our federal Senators are leading the charge to disarm us(Dick Durban and Tammy Duckworth). The last IGOLD we had, we had 8500 people in attendance. Now, mind you, there are 2.5 million gun owners in Illinois. So, our state groups do what they can, but I have heard from their own mouths how they have negotiated away our rights. So, when Tim, who runs an organization to which I am a paid member, pens a letter to the POTUS, I’m on board with it. Every little bit helps.
