Civil War, is it inevitable or avoidable?

Article. V. - Amendment The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

The larger point is that it is a difficult process to amend the Constitution no matter what method is used. My fear is that the left is trying to go around what the founders put in place all together. However they go about it, we must resist with zeal.

It would be, I think equal voice in government would be lost in presidential elections. Large urban areas be in control. Rural areas would have no say in outcome.

Civil war is avoidable. If gun owners would simply use their 1st amendment right to defend their second amendment right, it would be a non issue.

However statistically speaking, less then 1% of gun owners are fighting to defend their right. Less than 1% are contacting their elected officials. Less than 1% are attending rallies. Less than 1% are doing ANYTHING.

I do agree that many more gun owners need to speak up, But how many people have spoken out only to be harassed, placed on a watch list?
In this current political climate that is a real possibility!
After I heard how are Wisconsin Governor and his AG were considering implementing “Red Flag Laws” I was online and contacting ALL my State Senators and implored them to block any such laws!
So yes you are correct, we need more voices to be heard!

^^^ I don’t know that it’d be a non-issue, but I think that’s job one. Because the day we have to use our 2nd amendment right to defend our 1st amendment right, it is going to be very, very ugly.

Our one civil war was the bloodiest event we’ve ever participated in, and that was with clear geographic lines to fight over. If we were to have another, every battle line would be local, city against adjacent country, throughout most of the continental US. I can’t even begin to picture what that would look like.

Good graphic. I don’t even like to think about the possibility of a CW occurring in America. I believe that the far left wants to spark a conflict and that they are counting on the media to blame it on conservatives. We are a divided country and I dont see a good outcome in our future.

I can picture it, and it will look like Falluja.

I actually posted this this morning on my facebook page… red pill or blue pill people. The decision is yours, and decisions have consequences.

I’ve taken the red pill. I communicate with my elected representatives (for all the good it seems to do), and speak out whenever I get the chance.

We could solve it all with some iocane powder.

The most important thing we can do is recruit friends and neighbors to do the same.

You can circumvent congress entirely by calling a convention of the states.

I’m not too worried about a civil war. I don’t think the left has the guns or the guts. Look at Antifa with their faces covered attacking old ladies and old guys in wheelchairs. I’m an old vet in a powerchair but I am far from helpless.

I’m hoping avoidable. Every now & then something happens and one cannot help but ask “are we at or beyond the point of no return?” The hot-heads on both sides bother me. It would be naive to believe that just because folk campaign or spew gun control nonsense that they are unarmed or lack the testicular fortitude to be violent to accomplish their goals. I get these 2ND CIVIL WAR video suggestions on YouTube & I’ve never seen it discussed so much. I’m sad that things have gotten so bad but it was to be expected. I believe the prophecies of the Bible are unfolding. I think each man & woman has to decide when enough is enough. Honestly though, I’d like to be around like-minded, trustworthy folk when the proverbial line gets crossed. I don’t trust my neighbors like that. So with all sincerity, I say avoidable but the Liberal/Socialist/Democrats are unrelenting & the pressure is mounting… :v:t5:

I’d like it to be avoidable but with NY, CA, MA pushing idiotic laws, I don’t really know. NY really just wants to disarm us.

One guy is pushing for the state to require gun owners to have insurance but doesn’t realize the already made that against the law!!! I did tell him that.

I’m glad you did, as someone here told me gun owners are NOT letting themselves be heard enough!
Anytime we feel a politician is not doing what is in the best interest of the people we need to contact them calmly without sounding like a nut job and let them know that we do not approve of their actions and if need be remind them that as a voter you cannot support someone who is not representing them as they should be.
