Or brother you can just wear a sign that say’s “KICK ME”!
Just kidding Brother! I ,and many others think “early in— is best”
get it out of the way and then go Shooting!
I loved shooting w/ my wife, she had my back from stupid non-gunners
taking selfie’s while pointing the gun @ my lane (and ME!)
the only thing that REALLY sucked is she was a better shot than Me! TRUTH!
She was a NATURAL GUNNER!

My wife is a hoplophobe
Hoplophobes are individuals who have an irrational and morbid fear of guns , which can cause symptoms such as sweating, faintness, discomfort, rapid pulse, nausea, sleeplessness, and more. The term was coined by Col. Jeff Cooper and is derived from the Greek word “hoplites,” meaning weapon.

“My wife was a Hoplite!”-----Honest!
Seriously brother you’re Wife is a WARRIOR. Anybody that can have that kind of resistance to Guns, yet does it anyway? man, that takes Guts.

“Heck I get those symptoms from all the ‘white plates’ driving here! No offense @BeanCounter”
Maybe I am too stressed out over my Truck motor blowing, too much heat and long work hours BUT… When I read …" all the ‘white plates’ driving here I had to… pause… and say what are white plates driving down the road? HOADODEYDODAT?
wphew
No Sir… I got the joke…um…finally
But WHY, would ANYONE Put “DRUNK” on their license plates?
JUST why? THAT’S LIKE “wHORE” i SAW LAST YEAR ON A NEW MEX PLATE…I was shocked (and a little sad I didn’t know her)
They don’t need to but it certainly explains a lot to us NV folks.
You guy’s should build a wall!
(a novel idea huh?)
When discussing hobbies, bring up your target shooting.
If she shuts you down, you’ll know what you’re up against anyway.,
And you may be surprised!
Many a Farmer’s Daughter can hit a 'yote on the other side of five acres.
R put 10 out of ten on an 8" paper plate at 150 yards with an AR. So yea, some of these gals are big time sand baggers.
I’m thinking of slapping a “rental car” bumper sticker on my car when going out of state
Okay, maybe hoplophobe was a bit too much, but she does not like firearms, and would rather not see them. Unlike the antis, she does understand that firearms do not shoot by themselves - unless it is a Sig - or force their owners to kill people.
The best drinking and driving plate I ever saw had
HI 0CFER. I actually tried to buy that plate after he let it go. But no deal.
with a bumper sticker right there to explain it.
Hi OCCIFER, I’m not as think as you drunk I am. Dude, owned a hugely popular dive bar near the college campus. Thursday nights were the best. 10 cent draft starting at 5:00 p.m. until someone left the bar or went to the bathroom. Talk about peer pressure. Good times.
I used too feel uncomfortable with people that open carry when I was a lot younger but I don’t anymore. I went too Phoenix Arizona in 2018 and I actually shook a guys hand at a Subway and I told him thank you for carrying too keep himself and others safe. While that’s not my preferred method of carrying a gun I can respect those who do because it sends the message to criminals “No you won’t. Not today. There are people here who will protect themselves if you try anything.” If people choose too open carry that is their constitutional right just as much as it is a right for those too carry concealed as long as it is done legally.
It’s not the gun itself that is scary. It is the people who use them illegally and unethically that makes them look bad and mainstream media jumps on that fact by spreading a bunch of lies and myths about gun ownership.
My best friend’s wife has never shot a gun before we took her too the range with us and she’s almost a better shot than he and I both are. I’ve been shooting for years. And she can even handle a .40 caliber.
Yet it is highly unlikely that a criminal would carry in such a manner, as the criminal relies mostly on victims that are unaware, so having a weapon in plain sight might make the victim aware before the criminal could strike. My experience with situational awareness has shown me that if you see them before they see you, and let them know you see them, they don’t act against you.
This happened on the corner next to our condo:
A car pulls up, guy get’s out has an exposed firearm, looked like an old west style holster/gun. Car pulls away, in about a half a block the car stops a teenaged girl gets out with a back pack and approaches the group of homeless camping on Main Street. The gather around and she does her business, under the watchful eye of the guy on the corner. She get’s done and walks to the end of the block and get’s back into the car and they drive off. At all most exactly the same time another car pulls up to the corner where the guard is standing, he get’s in. deal done.
So, not so unlikely a criminal will show he’s strapped, in fact it was obvious what he was there for.
You need to start your own thread.
I wonder if it’s only Salt Lake or are others just afraid to speak the truth about where they liv.
Nothing happens where I live. I have even looked at crime maps a few times and they showed nothing.
