Blue Lives- Officer Down

Just Came here to pay my respects to two offices who lost their lives yesterday afternoon trying to keep the peace.

McAllen Texas.

Two veteran offices lost their lives responding to domestic violence call. Never had a chance to even draw their weapons.

Coming from law enforcement myself I feel for their families and pray for them. As a law enforcement officer for 20 years I have always considered the domestic disputes the most dangerous jobs for an officer to respond to because you don’t know what you are walking into.

agreed. I may have not always been my best as an american , but never would I dream of doing something like this to someone who is sworn to protect.

@ArmandoB
I have known a fair amount of Leo’s, both good and bad. The honest one’s I love because they carried the the load of serving and knowledge of evil. The dishonest ones made me sick because they thought it was all about them and they hurt innocent people.

Welcome to the community!

After church a few weeks back we all wrote and filled out greeting cards of thanks to our town PD, Sherrif & Deputies, and NPS Rangers, here in Johnson City.

On a personal note, I still carry half a dozen $10 gift cards from WhatABurger with me and just hand one out to any LEO’s I come across shopping or dining.

Some communities are going to “fix” these situations by having SOCIAL WORKERS respond to these “non-violent” calls… :roll_eyes:

SMH well hope these very well trained social workers are safe.

Remember why taps is played at the end of each day.
Remember these officers and all the other like them each time you hear it played.
