Define “competitor”. Soros funded politicians and DAs have been closing prisons and refusing to put violent criminals in prison. There are thousands of stories of violent criminals, illegally in possession of a firearm, using a firearm in the commission of a crime, in possession of a stolen firearm, etc., etc., being released right back onto the streets to possess yet another stolen firearm and commit more violent crimes. The politicians are just as guilty as these repeat violent offenders. And the politicians are doing it so they can point to it in their press conference to push legislation that takes firearms out of the hands of the innocent victims. They sure as hell don’t care about the violent felons being in possession of stolen firearms or they wouldn’t be putting them right back out on the streets. Politicians are aiding violent criminals and punishing the innocent victims. Are they a competitor or are they the head of a violent criminal organization?

The Latin word inimicus, meaning “hostile, unfriendly,” is the root of enemy, and it comes from the prefix in-, or “not,” and amicus, “friend:” an enemy is “not a friend.” When two armies fight each other, they both think of the opposing army as the enemy.
Given this definition you are correct. I always thought it meant apposing army. Thanks for setting me straight it is a comfort.

Big government has its roles but we that obey is not it. If BG would see the real enemy ( mirrored image) then just maybe our country would be a better place. Dreams right!!!

Our Constitution is the law of the land that our Forefathers set for our Country for Americans to protect, and for leaders whom we CHOOSE (vote in) to lead a strong Government (WE THE PEOPLE ARE THE GOVERNMENT). Unfortunately, there are those that take over the Government to try to CHANGE, WORK AROUND our Constitution, and make their own laws to their likings that causes us to fight hard against their agenda that conflicts with our Constitutional Rights, so we ALWAYS have to be on our toes, watching their SNEAKY agendas. Always have to be on guard when it’s voting time.

Congree has been in office so long they thing we work for them and I think they are with the president on fire arms control but they will exempt themselves as they always do. Without fire arms they can take over the country and we will be like Russia.

Unfortunately you are right many people put their politics before their morals and ethics. I can not follow blindly. We probably have the same values just different way of looking at it. I think you are optimistic too.
