Ballistol on snow shovel

I just used Ballistol as a release agent on my snow shovel ( 20 yr old pitted steel pushshovel) and it worked great for at least the first hour! Sprayed the new plastic shovel but did not use it yet. FYI

All purpose lubricant.

A lot of the times people use WD40 as a catchall they should really be using Ballistol

Another good product that I have used for years on the same surfaces mentioned above is Fluid Film. John Deere taught me to use it on almost anything from tractors to my boots.

Don’t waste good Ballistol on shovels. That stuff is for weapons. As far as shovels go, I want mine stuck in the head of an attacker as he stumbles down the street. None of that slipping and falling out stuff!

JK! I want my shovel back but I’ll use WD-40.
