I fear they will go after our ammo in some form.
Never let a crisis go to waste!
Point their attention to the fact, the 1st person the murderer killed in the store was the cop, and after that, they all had no chance against him. Dont you love gun free zones!
BTW watch Dr.Oz, he is running in PA, doesnt he. Last week he handled some guns on video, clumsily. Lets see if he caves in to hoplophobes in the coming week or 2.
I am all for occasionally having to listen to ignorant deluded people spout their BS all over the place in order to preserve our right to free speech. But in this case the shooter allegedly threatened to shoot a bunch of people on at least one other occasion prior to this one.
Threatening innocent people goes well beyond protected speech and breaks several laws along the way. If LE agencies would spend more time going after the people who have clearly demonstrated they are a threat to society and less time harassing and spying on the rest of us we just might all be a little safer.
If such are the threats, then what can you say about things being protected and not worth protecting?
And now a second one in a California church
Just as yelling fire in a crowded theater is not protected by the first amendment, threatening to kill someone is a crime and not protected. If my neighbor says he hates kids and wishes they were all dead then I would be very concerned but there wouldnât be much I could do about it except increase my home security or move. But if he says he is going to kill all the kids in the neighborhood then the cops better do something about him before I end up being forced to defend my family.
As Iâve explained to my grandkids this morning, people are on edge, from inflation, gas prices, a lying leadership, name calling, baby formula being available only to illegals ( thatâs inspiring ), the invasion from the south, crime being legal, threats of nuclear war, the overthrowing of the Supreme Court, tell me, whatâs not to be a little anxious about!
There are no surprises anymore, this is just the beginning of summer, âSummer is Comingâ.
Donât be fooled, Dante was wrong, itâs ten! Have we not seen ALL the signs? Am I on an island? No one is coming to save us! We need to save ourselves!
This administration started from the bottom!
I donât have the answers, because Iâm too busy stocking up on things to save my life!
Heck I felt more at ease when I was told to duck under a wooden desk in the event of a nuclear attack back in the 60âs.
Today, all it takes is for someone to say, He/She/Mister/Maâam/Boy/Girl
Either this administration is clueless or extremely smart and EVERYTHING has been planned down to both shooters and the Supreme Court chaos!
I foresee an executive order coming in the next few weeks! Or at the very least, intimidation to destroy the U.S. Constitution! I donât know how to get ready to live in a country without the Constitution!
So how do we counter?

One way to fight back is to bring up all the things that are wrong with laws and ways people cannot defend themselves, like gun free zones.
I found one article that talks about this guys manifesto:
⢠Appears to claim that he chose Buffalo because of the strict gun control laws.
⢠He apparently wrote: That New York state âhas heavy gun laws so it would ease me if I knew that any legally armed civilian was limited to 10 round magazines or cucked firearms,â
⢠Apparently also wrote: âNY has cucked gun laws. Assault style weapons and high capacity magazines are illegal for civilians to own, thus lowering threats from law-abiding civilians.â
⢠He used an illegally modified gun, so NYâs gun laws didnât work
⢠Another point to go against New York is that New York state residents also need to obtain a permit, which can make it take months if not years, to buy a pistol under the provisions of the SAFE Act. - so again he knew he was pretty safe doing what he did.
⢠I understand the guard only had a flashlight for a weapon - not sure how true that is, but he may not have been armed with a firearm.
@Robert15 At the Buffalo incident the security guard did have his firearm and did use it with no avail because the gunman had body armor on, which was the advantage over the guard.
@Ronald150 - OK, thanks for the note. Canât trust everything you see on the internet
As with many hot topics, politicians will make the promises that they think will get them elected. But when it comes time to vote, theyâre a little more coy. We had an example of this just last week, although it wasnât a 2A issue.
Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said Sunday he feels the racially motivated shooting at Tops supermarket on Saturday will âbe a turning pointâ for gun control
Body armor, a rifle and the initiative. All noticeable advantages. I have done some failure to stop training but when faced with an obvious active shooter who is or likely may be wearing armor it may pay to aim for spots not covered by armor first. Not to mention the need to move and/or find cover. Since these events seem to be getting a little more common I will need to add these scenarios more to my training. Wonder if anyone is making photo targets of bad guys in body armor?
Iâm not even referring to politicians, just us ordinary people.
See Concealed Carry Magazine, Nov/Dec 2021 issue, page 76. ![]()
@Shamrock âŚlikely may be wearing armor. Absolutely, needing to strategize deeper into training other than center mass and target other crucial areas is a MUST.
We had a case like this in Pittsburgh. Some jackass shot up a Jewish Temple. Killed a bunch of poor folks who was praying. The cops shot but didnt kill him. Now his lawyer had him plead not guilty. This trail will go on forever when its clear he did it.
