“You really don’t leave a person anyplace to go when you close with :”
Come on now brother! If you’re going to quote me then try to admonish me, please use the ENTIRE QUOTE! Don’t use the part that makes you feel warm and fuzzy. In case you forgot, allow me to post it here:
See, if you take PART of a quote and bend it to suit your needs, then it looks terrible. When you take the ENTIRE quote, it takes your misguided intentions to a whole new level.
No friend, you don’t need to defend anything! Your intentions are pretty clear. Did you beat your wife in the past? If you’ve stopped now and she forgave you and you TRULY will not do it in the future, then I respect what you two have done. You will need to spend this, the next and the next after that lifetime proving to her you’re not who you were and I’ve got no problem with that. I saw my old man beat my mom and for that, I will never forgive him.
Sure, where you live are private roads and they are maintained by the county. That means they are public roads they are not private. The county uses money harvested in county tax that everyone pays into. Hence your roads are not owned by you nor are they private.
@Jay26
Hmmmmm… intresting point. Let us see closing words were…
"And as far as “BLM wolves” You are part of the problem in the world today".
OR
"You are part of the problem in the world today."
I could have been wrong and, instead of these words being pointed at the person you were replying to, you could of meant that “BLM wolves” are part of the problem in the world today.
If this is the case, and that was your real meaning, I stand corrected and you have my apologies kind sir.
You suffer from the most basic of human deficiencies; you don’t want to be grouped as one, but are quick to group others you disagree with into one. I am very pro Black Lives Matter. Am I a wolf? No. I resent the name calling. It would be no different if I said all cops are pigs. Or all white people are devils. You would for sure be offended and hurt, yet you are OK with someone saying “BLM wolves” you are part of the problem.
@JayK, please stop beating that dead horse! I lived in a gated community and was active in the HOA. Money was set aside in our budget to maintain our privately owned roads inside the gated community. Money to periodically re-pave the roads came out of the HOA budget, so I don’t see where you keep thinking the county is maintaining them. Regardless I think anyone, including you, would be alarmed if even one person destroyed your gate, fence, or other structure you personally, and legally funded to keep people out of your private property. Much more alarmed if there are hundreds.
Every forum I have ever been a member of goes down the tubes quickly when discussions turn to heated political debates - no one wins, nor is anyone’s position changed. Most will dig deeper in. My 2 cents …
Jay, thank you so much! I read the responses earlier this morning and it made me a little sad. So much so, that I thought about keeping my membership, but joining another organization with broader communities. I appreciate and respect everyone’s opinion. I am also glad that we can have honest conversation and dialogue. It is so important today. Hopefully, we can learn from one another. I am new and here to learn, so again thank you for your message. It just made a real difference. Warmest regards, Dee
Dawn, thank you so much! I sincerely appreciate your message. Your message this morning made a huge difference. I am looking forward to getting to know people in the community, learning and asking really important questions to veteran fire arms owners. Your message is greatly appreciated. Warmest regards, Dee
It’s not a dead horse. So you’re telling me in your HOA contract it specifically stipulates that the HOA is 100% responsible for the road? Do you pay your water and electric bill to the HOA? Cause if you do, then you guys are self sufficient and that’s great!
Would I be alarmed if someone destroyed a gate that keeps me locked in? Nah, not really. I would actually question the fact that I’m paying for a gate that was so easily breached. See, a wrought iron gate that is supposed to keep people out, allegedly fell at the hands of “humans” what am I paying for?
I’m not trying to win. Owning guns is political regardless if you want to admit it or not. I don’t care if you or anyone here likes, trusts, or believes me. I’m not here for you. I am here and will respond to commentary that pushes a false or ignorant narrative so sadly for you, I’m vested here! I am one black man that will not shut his mouth and move along.
