And this is how it happens... And how fast they can be taken away by govt

He could have killed that many people with a butter knife or a jar of Nutella. Not meaning to be callous but a 12 hour rampage is more on the police, than on the style of guns used.

Haha, there just aren’t enough Nutella references tossed around these days

In all seriousness, 2 semi auto pistols and an “assault rifle” and 12 hours. That’s really a gun problem? Sounds more like a police response time.

Canada didn’t let a good crisis go to waste did they?? That same type of gun could have stopped the shooter 11:59 before the police did.

And people wonder why we won’t fall for the “commons sense gun safety laws” they want to pass. You know, for the children…

These stories make me want to buy more guns…

I cannot believe that the majority of Canadians are okay with this! If they are they deserve what they get…sorry but sooner or later you have to fight back.

“The gunman in Nova Scotia, 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman, shot 13 people to death and set fires that killed nine others”
The report goes on to say that the weapons used were illegaly possessed by Mr. Wortman
Go figure…
Thank goodness no one has realized the contribution of bic lighters to the tool box of the criminally deranged… yet

Let’s be realistic he could have killed em all with a googly eyes pet rock named Fred in 12 hours. A 12 hour killing spree, that’s not a gun problem. That’s a response problem.

Why didn’t Canada ban fire?

A couple things about this debacle…

  1. Trudeau says they plan to go further by restricting access to handguns… Give’em an inch, they take it all
  2. Do they have a Bill of Rights or something similar?
  3. How will the citizens of :canada: respond?
  4. Surely, the citizens recognize they will never get their rights back if tyrants have a say in the matter.
  5. The line is being drawn. We talk so often about the anti-gunners here but the spirit behind that movement is global (socialist/communist/marxist).
  6. This will embolden the anti-gunners in the :us:. So let’s support our GOA & FPC (and all the like). There’s nothing wrong with trying the court system first. Lawsuits will abound.
  7. If the courts will not uphold the Constitution… Things will probably get ugly (understatement)!

:star2: I forgot who said this but it has been stated “KNOW WHEN TO USE A BIBLE, KNOW WHEN TO USE A RIFLE…”

Apparently, Canadians have no right to possess arms, per their supreme court in 1993. The headline below from their “safety minister” was widely discredited as bs.

Pretty sure that’s just one of MANY things our founding fathers wanted to ensure in 1776 after breaking away from the old King. Canada got what they were given. America got what it earned.

I like Canadians as a population. Very pleasant folks generally speaking, but I do like having a strong defense available as an American.

Well put! If they take this, the handgun ban will soon follow.

I think it’s too late… my wife’s family has a place in canada. It’s amazing what my father in law had to go through just to have a .177 pellet gun… if you believe google…

“There is no legal right to possess arms in Canada . … Canadian civilians aren’t allowed to possess automatic weapons, handguns with a barrel shorter than 10.5 cm or any modified handgun , rifle or shotgun. Most semi-automatic assault weapons are also banned.Jan 16, 2013”

It sounds like there is a 2 year amnesty. If I were Canadian I would be using that time wisely…

Like buying the boat that you’ll need to… Well, you know.

“The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” 168 million people were killed by their own governments in the 20th century. A government which takes away rights is much more evil than some nutbag gunman. I’m hoping our good neighbors to the north wake up. I’m hoping the good people of the United States sit up and take notice.
