So, you think 8 weeks of folding underwear in your hotel is combat training? Of course not! Why would an Airman be truly trained for combat? Just happens that there are ALPHA males who are real man who go through a 13 week basic training that does not involve folding and ironing your underwear into 6x6 squares! DO NOT tell me I am wrong!! I was in the Air Force and then I went into the Marine Corps! There is no comparison in basic trainings.
I am not even going to begin to go any further on this because in the Marine Corps I was an Engineer and my ASVAB score would probably put yours to shame.

A simple reminder: It’s like the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders saying they are what makes the team so good! Sorry, an elite branch of the Military can not compared to. I do not want to hurt your feelings or any ones for that fact but, Army is Army and the Marine Corps is an elite branch of service. This is how it works, Join the Army and go to basic, get out of Army to join Marine Corps you have to go to basic training. Join the Marine Corps then, go to basic training, get out to join Army,… no basic training required. Join the Air Force,… no basic training required. Join the Navy,… no basic training required. But, in all cases, all others must go to Marine Corps basic training. This is just on reason it is elite.
Another reason the Marine Corps is more Elite is Army basic training is nine weeks, Air force training is 8.5 weeks, Navy is 7 weeks, and the Marine Corps Basic training is 13 weeks.
Another reason the Marine Corps is so Elite is that the Marine Corps is the Smallest branch except, the Coast Guard.
What separates the Marines from other branches?

I live right by Fort Lewis, in Washington. I have friends in the Ranger Battalion and we have a good mutual respect. After all, it isn’t like each branch does the same thing. Our mighty Navy, The Air Force, The Army, Even though the Marines are on the land and air and sea.
Let us all respect each other and play a little nicer.

Your right but the people that cause friction/disharmony don’t play with respect.
That’s part of a problem today called accountability. Don’t slap some one in the face & not expect a go to guns. ( no consequences for their actions ) maybe a sign of the time, hiding behind the Internet.GRATE SCOTT, this was a good self defense drill on how to react to a assault.

Marines are not normal people. That’s why we are among the best of the best. If we were normal we wouldn’t be Marines. Once a Marine always a Marine.
