A Liberal Joins the 2A Fray

A great video that has a Liberal justifying his pro IIA view. Rights are rights and are to be respected regardless on where you stand on any political issue.

I was surprised by the topic/content dichotomy. It’s a long video, but I’m listening to it in the background as I work. I LOVE this quote:

“One person’s common sense is another person’s nonsense.”

I use the Roman numerals when referring to the Bill of Rights but I get the edit. Most people don’t speak Roman.

Hope you don’t mind the title edit, @Gunny_Doug - 2A is what the Community is used to seeing. It gave me pause in the title, but I left it in your opening.

I listened to the video, and was surprised that the gun culture was that diverse. I knew that it was not just ‘old white guys’ (like me), but I did not realise just how diverse it truly is. I agree with all of his major points, especially what he sais near the end of his speech, when he talked about ‘going 60%’, and being friendly and positive and not angry or violent ( ESPECIALLY Important in view of what is happening in Va.). I thoroughly enjoyed his talk.

Very interesting video. I love to see diversity on the range. The more liberals the better! :grinning:

I have friends and family that are on different sides of the political spectrum. Their thoughts on 2a rights was not determined by their political leanings… nor whether they were immigrants or not. Most of them live in large cities, some in very anti-2a cities.

A few years back, a friend of mine, a professed socialist (although he later said he was a libertarian) went with a bunch of his liberal buddies to support a 2a rights rally (pre-Trump). Before this, he introduced me to a lady he was dating… ultra liberal… but she owned a firearm after seeing what happened in her community after wildfires ripped through the area.

By only recognizing the differences and not realizing the simliarities of those who hold different ideas our strength is divided.
