2021 USCCA Expo postponed/moved to Texas

Obviously it is not postponed if it is going to Fort Worth. Now I will not be able to go. So the email I received does nothing to comfort me by it saying that I will bot be disappointed in the fact that it is going to fort worth. I am disappointed because I cannot go. I planned for april and now it is October. Not that easy to change plans. Oh well, I guess you don’t want me there.

Welcome to the Community @Timothy_Justin! I feel your pain but understand that it hast to be postponed again. It would have been great to have it in Nashville as planned and I’m disappointed it is not there. At the same time, I understand that Nashville was likely not available in October.
Sadly, it is unlikely I’ll be able to be at Fort Worth as well.

Is it postponed? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
Hmmm. @moderators … if this is a true it is the a good time to stop selling tickets to Nashville at USCCA’s website… :grimacing:

FW is way closer to me, and I have time in October so I’ll still be there.
I’m sure this decision was not made lightly.
An EXPO is a huge huge undertaking.
They mention capacity limits, so if you have to have ##### to make a profit and “land of the free” regulations say you can only have ## capacity, I’d cancel it as well. Plus, there maybe a bunch of vendors who jumped ship. Maybe a bunch of mask stuff too, all in all it had to be a tough decsion.

I was disappointed too, but USCCA has to make the call at some point whether they can pull off a viable event. I don’t fault them. I hope to be able to make it to Fort Worth. If you have never spent a day at the stockyards and taken in the rodeo, you owe it to yourself to make time for it.

So, FW is only 3.5 hours from the ranch, so maybe there could be an “After Expo” reception?

I won’t be able to make it to Ft Worth. 701 miles is a little bit far for a road trip. Maybe next year.

Like the majority of you - I was REALLY looking forward to Nashville, however, it just didn’t work out. Yesterday, emails were sent to those who have tickets for the Nashville venue. The website is currently being updated with all of the new information.

Here’s what the letter said:

To our valued attendees:

Due to capacity restrictions and our concern for your health and safety we have decided to postpone the 2021 Concealed Carry & Home Defense Expo in Nashville, Tennessee, scheduled for April 16 to 18, 2021. We want to provide you with the best show possible, and given the two factors listed above, we don’t feel that is achievable at this time.

Now for the good news: There will be a Concealed Carry & Home Defense Expo this year. It will be held in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Fort Worth Convention Center, from October 1 to 3, 2021. Stay tuned for hotel details in the coming weeks.

Your current registration tickets will transfer. Nothing else is needed on your part. If you can’t make it in October, you are eligible for a full refund. If you have additional questions, please reach out to our award-winning Customer Engagement Team by phone at 1-800-674-9779.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience postponing this event may have caused you. Thank you for understanding. We promise that the 2021 Concealed Carry & Home Defense Expo in Fort Worth will be worth the wait!

Stay safe and healthy,
-USCCA Support

We are disappointed that we won’t be able to have the Expo in April in Nashville. However, we are excited to still be having the Expo this year! It’s a little later than we originally planned and in a different location, but it will be an awesome event!

@Dawn . A friend of mine also a member. Just had the Drury cancel his room reservation. When he called they told him they heard expo moving to Texas. Hotel probably confused with NRA moving

“Let’s be proactive and cancel reservations since the NRA is moving…oh, wait. It’s the USCCA Expo? Um…never mind…”

There have been some changes in the last few days regarding the Expo. The details have not been announced yet as there are some kinks being worked out. We are expecting to announce all of the details within the next week.

What I can say is that the Expo is moving to a different location and weekend. Watch your emails and our website (and yes, we will be posting about it here when the details are available!).

Sorry for any confusion!

This has been a suck a** year. 2021 is continuing the sentiment. We were so looking forward to our trip to Nashville this April. After canceling our European trip last June, re-booking a trip to Hawaii in October which we cancelled, now this. I don’t know if we’ll make Texas.

@moderators .
Could you please talk with the person responsible for EXPO to make any announcement about the change on official USCCA EXPO 2021 website?
I know that we can expect email information, but there are a lot of non-members who are confused right now.
I’ve got a lot of people asking me about the 2021 EXPO…and to be honest - I have no idea how to respond.
The worst - I’ve found some unconfirmed information only here, at the Community Forum… but still nothing officials.

Please notice… people have plans and sometimes need to plan ahead… and planning April’s travel to Nashville seems to be pointless at the moment…

Please give the People some valid information… not rumors.

I’ve renamed the thread to reduce some of the confusion. We were trying to give our currently registered people first dibs on everything for the rescheduled Expo.

Sorry for the confusion - we want to be able to give everyone the best experience possible!!

What about this?

I’m not able to call all my friends and notify about the change. I think USCCA should take a responsibility to let the People know about date and location change…

@Jerzees sorry, I combined the threads after the post about the letter and the website updates above:

I believe the website update release is slated for early next week. We wanted to give those who were already registered a chance to get squared away first as they’ve been registered for a while now.

Now I’ve got something I can forward to anyone who asks… :+1:

I called the Drury in Nashville and they said I had to fill out a request online to cancel. I did that and it said 7 days for a response. So, I called and they said that they have been very generous processing refunds.

So, I’m hoping I get my $819 back.

Sorry for the frustration, @Fizbin! I’m sure they’re swamped with processing everything - and aren’t too happy that we cannot be there. The tourism industry has definitely taken a hit over the last year. :frowning:
