99% of people i put my 48 mos in their hands are amazed at how much they like it. even diehard anti-glock people. i was anti glock myself for a long time until i built a p80 g34, then they started to grow on me. shot a friends 43mos and i liked the grip, just wanted more sight radius, so went to a 48mos and have been very happy with it. the size of the grip taper just fits the hand really well right out the gate. especially people with shorter fingers.
Thank you all. Great information. I will check it out going foward.
I have heard nothing but good things about the Ruger. Nice and concealable too!
I’m that guy, I had no opinion either way about Glock, I don’t own one, until a friend let me shoot his, I don’t know what model. What I remember about it is, that was pretty nice. If the opportunity presented itself I’d certainly consider buying one.
I really wanted a Glock. Guys who I respect highlighted just how utterly reliable they are. They also made note of the aftermarket parts that were avialable. I am going to try out the models the other guys mentioned.
That is my d2d carry and I love it. “That” being my Canik Elite TP9 SC. I also love to carry my Masada slim orp. I have a thing for military grade weapons that are designed for military combat like my Canik and my Masada. Both are very accurate with low recoil, and you can run any type of ammo through them including low grade 115 grain and I’ve never had a misfire, jam, or issue with the mag dropping. Totally reliable and solid guns for under $500.
Welcome to the Family!
Thank you, much appreciated.
Welcome
It looks nice, but it is striker-fired… I have learned that I definitely have a preference for hammer-fired over striker-fired. I have tried to like them, but I like the feel of the trigger on hammer-fired. When they make a striker-fired revolver, let me know.
Yes sir. I have read a few reviews about the Echelon. It reviewed quite well. My best friend owns Springfields and rather likes them.
Hello and welcome @Christopher451
Greetings and Salutations welcome aboard, I too am new here but enjoy the intelligent discussions.
I’m a S&W person all the way.
It’s funny. I didn’t intend to be one, but the more I looked at different handguns, and the more I tried, my wife and I both always ended up buying S&W. I became a Smith & Wesson guy just by default, and I love every gun of theirs I own. She’s a S&W girl.
What is it about the S&W the you like over other guns such as my favorite Springfield Armory?
I don’t have a preference for Smith and Wesson as a brand over some other manufacturer, that’s why I said it was almost accidential that I was a S&W guy, only in that the last four guns I’ve bought have all been S&W.
Within the particular type of gun I was looking for, I felt they had the best offeing, that’s all. Three of those four guns were revolvers and I liked the S&W triggers, build and general fit of the revolver at its price over competitors. The pistol I got from them just felt great in my hand, seemed well made, and the one I rented shot really well in terms of trigger feel, recoil and accuracy. It was honestly nothing more than that.
If I was shopping today, especially for a pistol, for sure I’d give any number of quality makers a try. There are some fantastic looking offerings out there. I already know the next revolver I want and it does happen to be a S&W, but that would be mostly just a range toy.
Happy birthday!! Let 'em spoil ya rotten today … enjoy.
Happy Birthday @RAYMOND45
