Sound familiar?

Just look at who’s doing it and it sure ain’t the republicans. The left shoots senators on baseball fields, the lift says “go to day house and get Dem wereeber they are” ( Maxiene Waters, remember?" So let’s stop with the fairy tails shall we?

This is very personal to me. I was barred from the grace of Communion, by my priest because of my refusal to forgive someone. I can’t forgive what was done. It destroyed my life. 40 years later and it still affects me. What finally gave me some peace was a verse of scripture I found and then I had that verse tattooed onto my chest, over my heart. :heavy_heart_exclamation:

Bob, this fighting among ourselves doesn’t strengthen us, it weakens us. Our enemies want this division and foment it to make our leaders work harder to resolve our problems and run our country. We need to be diverse in our opinions, and we need to maintain our individuality, but we need to agree to disagree civilly. Sure, disagree all you want, but the vitriol and animosity with we are throwing at each other now doesn’t solve anything it just drives us further apart and makes the solving of problems more difficult. We are “ONE” great nation, not small fiefdoms running our territory independently of each other.

United we stand divided we fall. It’s just that so many people feel they have been sh#t on or are being sh#t by the people in power it is so difficult not to harden ones heart. I use very focused breathing. God give us strength. I think you are spot on.

Edit - my wife was doing a word puzzle sitting next to me and just as I hit reply I looked at her screen and the word was unite so that’s confirmation.

Signs and omens. The strongest ones come from those we love. It is easy to become discouraged these days. Politicians who are using their positions for their own benefit; children killing children; children having children; laws that we have grown up with and have lived by rescinded; pettiness, squabbling, name calling, politicians disrespecting one another and running campaigns with mudslinging and accusations. Our leadership is not providing us with a good example of how a government should be run. We are the greatest nation in the world. We are the example to the world of what democracy is all about. Yet here we are trying to rip each other’s throats out instead of conducting ourselves in a dignified manner. You want a conspiracy theory, try this: our enemies (doesn’t matter which ones) are working from within and dividing us against ourselves in an attempt to destroy us. Divide and conquer. But things aren’t all gloom and doom. We still have freedom of choice, travel, the press (although sometimes I wonder what side they are on and what happened to their neutral positions). If I travel to a neighboring state I don’t have to provide my papers when crossing the border. I can go to the church of my choice. I can disagree with ny neighbors and then offer them a soda or a beer. I can write my congressman and complain or praise about a bill that is trying to get passed. We are not perfect and we don’t have all the answers to the world’s problems. We make mistakes. But we have the 4th of July, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day. We have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannakah, Ramadan, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and birthdays. Yeah, I know, I’m another wrapped in the Flag, raving fanatic. So what! I love my country, faults and all,I love my family, I love my God, I love my neighbors (the ones that don’t let their dog crap on my lawn), I love baseball and football and basketball, etc. But, don’t try to take those things away from me. Don’t try to take away my rights as stated in the Constitution of our Country, don’t try to abolish the democratic process that has guided the operation of this Country, don’t try to tell me that the heroes that I have believed in and respected all my life have not played a significant role in the establishment of the Country and it’s development. Do that and I, for one, will take it very personal and I am sure a large number of my fellow citizens will stand with me in strongly voicing our displeasure. I am an American, a citizen of the United States, a husband, a father, a grand father, a former teacher, a former coach, a former High School and College athlete, a college graduate, a former member of law enforcement, I vote every election, I go to church on Sunday and sing in the choir, a gun owner, an uncle, and I believe the United States is the greatest country in the world and will continue to be if we don’t screw it up. God Bless America. Bob, keep the faith.

The individual or individuals committing the violence as well as the person or persons inciting the violence are solely responsible for their actions. Period.

Using that theory, Maxine Waters should be in prison based on her statements that actually incited mobs.

Also all the governors on down that forced the police to stand down and watch innocent people get attacked and property destroyed. Then there was our VP funding bail for the “Summer of Love” rioters. I won’t hold my breath waiting for them to be prosecuted, but let’s hang Trump that explicitly stated people to be peaceful and not be violent.

In the military, we are not obligated to follow illegal orders. If my division officer said " storm the whitehouse". That would be an illegal order. If you choose to follow an illegal order you will be held accountable if it is deemed that any reasonable person would know that the order was not within the UCMJ.
