What's the best, short, motivation speech; heard by, or uttered by you?

The most decorated Marine in American history, Lieutenant General Lewis Burwell “Chesty” Puller, once said, “pain is weakness leaving the body.” Coming from a Marine with five Navy Crosses and one Distinguished Service Cross, one would think General Puller knew what he was talking about.

When working on something, my Dad would many times say “think, there’s got to be a harder way to do it”.

Do you always follow directions??? Where on the back of a shampoo bottles does it say to stop? … rinse, lather repeat.

Point in case, common sense needs to prevail at some point.

You give what you give. What you don’t give is lost forever. This day will never come again.

“Don’t. Don’t.” Has encouraged millions.

I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed. And the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times that I fail, and keep trying.

The only “whore” I knew who went to church, was a lady I knew when I was in Plattsburgh, NY. She described herself as a sex therapist and this woman had BRASS. She did not sweat one bit walking into Sunday morning service at the local Hell Fire and Brimstone Baptist Church up on HWY 9. Think of Jennifer Tilly’s character, Savahna Sumner in the old show Key West.

Everywhere she went, she would walk in like she owned it.

That lost productivity to being subjected to brainwashing time wasted that could have found solutions to much more serious problems like a cure for cancer.

Funny that you mention a cure for cancer.
In case anyone needs to be reminded of the pharmaceutical business model:
Cures for anything do not result in a continued revenue stream for the company, so they must be buried (DEEP) so that we can continue the narrative of “continuing research” for the good of mankind.
There must be a continued push for various poisons to give the masses “hope”.
Meaning simply that the “cure for cancer” has been developed years ago, but is in a vault, inside a vault, that is inside a vault that is heavily guarded.

And yet a number of major deadly diseases have been cured to the point that some literally don’t even exist ‘in the wild’ on this planet any more. When was the last time you knew someone who caught smallpox? Polio?

We were hunting deer, hunters (Unarmed) formed a line and were planning to walk in line through a forest and flush the deer out into the open, these were labeled as “Dogs”, I was one of the “Dogs”.

Then when us dogs flushed the deer out, the armed hunters in the field would get their chance to take a deer.

The leader of the hunt asked if there were any comments on the plan.

I raised my hand and stated, “Yes! Do not shoot any of the dogs!”

Should that be “don’t, don’t”?

When do we start?

Actually, I did my graduate work in “motivation”. After all the time spent, I learned you cannot motivate anyone. They have to motivate themselves. That happens by providing an environment that creates purpose, support, surrounds one with others who also choose to excel and, as our 47th has said, has merited the position and is competent to achieve.

Someone once highlighted the example of open source software. They don’t get paid. There’s no manager hyping up the team. They do it because they’re self motivated. They like the feeling of having accomplished something useful. Unfortunately, it came up in a discussion about budget and how we weren’t going to be able to give pay raises or bonuses, so go figure out other ways to motivate your teams.

The last one…is a rotten egg!!

That used to work.

Both are back thanks to an open border.
Cures came from independent research not big pharma. AOH1996 currently in trials at the City of Hope Los Angeles has been 100% effective against solid tumors. New independent research shows the cancer cells ferment glutamine which gives the possibility of targeting cancer with no side effects.
