In a way but have found when thing are not in your favor them verses can be stunning to test the skills of person in stand with, to is to your advantage they have to think throws them off, let them know you really dont care, you should have overpowered them seeing your ahead of them pointing your gun.
Been there a time or to had luck on my side having back up when in wrong place, with that statement you would know your not dealing with younger person, find you start getting laughed at then easy to settle, or Doc Halladay.
So many options…sadly a common occurrence in many major cities today.
Like others are saying all the best options seem to involve trying to get away/get distance, de-escalating, getting help, and if all else fails doing what you gotta do to protect yourself.
But here are some other options not previously mentioned… I’ll call it B roll ideas:

I find of confronted at point, some of them words challenge the mind, change the subject is in drought, play the odds, gives you the chance to focus on next move, study the subject to find his mentality, then advance on his level of doing this.
