What would you do, if this were you?

Here we have a Correction Officer who was following the rules and doing what is expected but was still treated like this. This Sheriff was a former Trump Supporter, only former because of what he witnessed in this video. I am glad to see there are still some in the United States who put the Constitution over Party.

And I would like a million dollars every time someone start recording federal agents when they are breaking the law. You can get the what led up to this which is complete ā€œnonsenseā€ when i start getting my million dollars and we can both be happy, I guess.

We will never hear or see the entire picture to any story printed these days.

Brother I promise you this, I will take your side every time before I take the Federal Governments side unless they have video or other evidence that can sway my opinion. That is an absolute promise, This promise is not dependent on who is in office either.

Exactly, I don’t care who is in office!

So, if you’re actively going to immigration court that would mean the government is in the process of removing you from the country, they hold removal hearings, that is what immigration court does, nothing else to my knowledge.

Wow, ok so when my wife goes to immigration court to retain her Green Card because she does not want to surrender her Japanese citizenship it’s because she is in the process of the Government removing her from this country. And not because she is following the rules set in place by this Government to retain her Green Card which she has been doing for the last 30 years. And this is exactly why we have the dumbest of the dumb celebrating the deportation of legal residents. Bjorn here is the perfect example of someone who stokes himself to the idea that legal immigrants being deprived of rights.

Good for the two of you!

So since you’re more familiar with the process than I am,….

There IS a process required to maintain a green card, correct?

If she failed to maintain her green card, what would happen to her citizenship status?

Also, as I understand, the commission of crimes can be grounds for revocation of a green card. Is that correct?

Well, I suppose things must have changed…I had my green card for 25 years before becoming a citizen and my sister is still a green card holder after 45 years and not once have we had to go to immigration court! And no, I agree with you and have stated so previously, violations of our constitution, especially the bill of rights be it 1st, 2nd, 4th, or whatever are not acceptable. Assuming I celebrate these incidents is absurd and a projection on your part.

I guess the law changed but my sister does not have to go to immigration court to retain her green card, perhaps she’s grandfathered in. Be that as it may, I was wrong and I can admit it. You are TOTALLY off base with your accusation. THAT is what is wrong…not being able to have a discussion without attacks.

My brother-in-law has never been to court regarding his green card, either. First I heard of that was from Papa. According to the US Customs and Immigration Service:

Once you become a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), you maintain permanent resident status until you:

  • Apply for and complete the naturalization process; or
  • Lose or abandon your status.

He was resisting arrest. What was bad about that? They didn’t beat him, spray him, or anything, and he remained standing. Why fight a half-dozen officers, or even one for that matter? I know I wouldn’t. My bil said arrestees woud get hurt far more doing stupid sh-t like that that puts the officers at risk of injury. He should know, he got hurt numerous times arresting suspects and criminals and ended his career with a medical disability due to that.

Your wife would rather remain a citizen of Japan but not live there?? Sounds like disappointment that Cackling Kamala wasn’t elected….You want to come on here and defend criminals that are in our country, and yes you are a criminal if you are and ILLEGAL alien! So what other laws do you want the country to ignore? Just a question, does your wife own a firearm?

I dont have a problem with papa’s wife going through the process. She has her own reasons.

I’ve got friends that have spent years and God knows how much to bring their wives her legally. No problems IMO.

Its the illegals we got to get out. Don’t like it? Change the law.

Until laws are changed……FAFO

Apparently he is quite poor, stating he isn’t even worth $1 million. Sad state of affairs in today’s economy where $1 million is worth about one-quarter of it did when I was a kid.

We don’t care. It is just that he claims she needs to continually go to immigration court to remain in the USA when that is not a normal process according to the US Customs and Immigration Service. It sounds like there is far more going on that he does not want to disclose.

I honestly don’t know how the system works in that scenario.
