Check out the posts I refer to in this morning welcome comment above, @Jim69
Thanks for the welcome, Andy from Pa, been a USCCA member for 6+years, NRA certified instructor, range safety officer, martial artist, been carrying concealed for 20+ years.

Welcome all, this is a good place to be.
Hi…Bert here…Former Security Guard retired due to surgeries
Thanks. I appreciate the welcome. I thought uscca was the best place for me to join and I’m glad I did.
Congratulations, @Eriberto!!
Thanks… I just bought my first legal gun… waiting for pick up tomorrow
Learned to suit in college on rifle team then USNR had great instructor. More women need to protect others. Don’t let you men take it all on. Yes they are great protectors but they are more likely to be prosecuted than me 5 ft 3 in little ol’ lady.
Hey everyone, my name’s Andrew and I am currently attending Sonoran Desert Institute to become a gunsmith. Proud 2A supporter and proud Patriot. I signed up for USCCA after learning about it from John Lovell at Warrior Poet Society. Highly recommend WPS to anyone.
Good one @Lynette. I agree, dynamite comes in small packages. ![]()
Welcome to the community. Stay safe, Bruce and Nancy. ![]()
Hey @Andrew65 Welcome to the community. Thank you for choosing to be a Gunsmith, good ones are few and far inbetween. Stay Safe, Bruce and Nancy.
I am a Missouri CCW permit holder for last 20 years. That was before the shall issue days when classroom work and shooting
proficiency with both a semi auto and a revolver were required.
I have been a member of the NRA for 20 years a USCCA Platinum member since 10/26/2016 and am a degreed and licensed professional.
I have studied and taken hundreds of hours of training from PDN and USCCA.
I am a hunter and enjoy the shooting sports but don’t get to nearly as much as I would like.
I have had to draw a weapon and apprehend felons twice and thankfully had the presence of mind not to have shot them justified
or not. I will not shy away from the use of deadly force as a last resort when my bad decision making has placed me in a bad enough decision that I have no other recourse.
I completely agree with the latest training objective not well developed in other models or by instructors. I hunt with
a handgun and live in the country where destructive and rabid wildlife is common. Hunting with a flashlight for a quickly moving animal never on even terrain with a poor unpredictable stance and all shots are one handed from just about every angle can tell
you a great deal about why our current training is inadequate.
I think it is wonderful that a more true picture of what must be learned to properly fire a weapon in real life circumstances
are now an ugly fact I think most instructors do not want to talk about.
It is messy, complicated and scary. We need to be smarter than the predators but not be reactionary cowboys. Most all situations
that would lead one to fire his weapon is a failure leading up to that happening on the part of the victim. It is work to be prepared and make good decisions and these extreme circumstances will not allow as much logic as one would like so you must train your
body and mind to rely on muscle memory. That for the most part that is all you will have. Those that think differently have not been in that situation or are undereducated.
I look forward to participating in civil discussions as time will allow and hopefully paying a little more attention to
the discussion facts when I do.
Thanks for the welcome to the USCCA community. I probably first heard of USCCA on talk radio . I eventuality began looking into insurance , the why’s , etc. I really like what I have found here and look forward to being part of the community. Although I have had a carry permit and have carried off and on for several years, I am looking forward to taking my first formal training class, probably an NRA basic pistol class and then continue from there. My carry (and only) handgun is a CZ 75 D /PCR.
Thank You, my wife and I are both long time USCCA members and I am a retired LE Lieutenant with State CC and HR-218 cards. Excellent source and back-up here at USCCA !
Hi Dawn, thank you for the warm welcome. And thank you to all at USCCA for all you do for your members.
I’m Jim, in SW ohio, a Platinum member for nearly 4 years now. I hold an active Ohio CCW and I’m a member of the NRA, the Buckeye Firearms Association and the Firearms Policy Coalition. My EDC is currently a SA XDS 4.0 in 9MM, and I own several other handguns of assorted makes and models. My wife of 42 years also holds an active Ohio CCW; she prefers .380 ACP.
Thanks again, and welcome all newcomers!
Hello USCCA community. I’ve been considering joining for quite a long time but finally - pardon the pun - pulled the trigger. The final straw? We’re developing a security team for our small church here in Troy, Al, and frankly this organization and it’s support made all the sense in the world. Looking forward to exploring the training and resources available for us.
Greetings from western Pennsylvania! Have been a concealed carry license holder over four years now. Joined the USCCA two years ago and attended the National Convention last year in Pittsburgh.
Hello. My name is Phil Davison. I am veteran and my wife Jane and I are USCCA members. We both enjoy shooting at our local gun club.
We just wanted to rave about the recent legal seminar in the beautiful West Bend headquarters conducted by attorney Tom Grieve. It was certainly enlightening to learn how complicated protecting yourself can be. We also appreciate the great book and bonus gift along with the warm hospitality of the knowledgeable staff.
More accolades for the recent online book Self Defense in the Great Outdoors. We are big campers and hikers at National Parks and Lands, but we also enjoy the great State Parks and Forests in Wisconsin.
