Welcome to the Community! Please Introduce Yourself

Thank you for your service, @EOD_Jerry!

We started the Community very quietly in mid-January with some USCCA Members who were really active on our social media pages. We didn’t open the doors completely until just before the Expo, so you’re still early to the Community!

Glad to have you here!

Welcome to the community @EOD_Jerry and thank you for your service!
I’d say the community kicked off the training wheels and we’re entering teenage years. Lol. Yup @Dawn your “child” is growing up!
Seriously though, like Dawn mentioned it’s pretty new with its kick off and gaining momentum! Jump in anywhere! Lots of great conversations with some pretty rad people. Dawn’s great with responding to feedback you may have as well. Except for that whole ‘free gun’ button…still waiting Dawn!!!

Ok @Kelly, you asked for it! (I may have added a word to the request. ) Here is your

Free Gun pictures button

Disclaimer: This is all in good fun and is in no way an entry to a giveaway or an offer for a real gun for free.

Hello Dawn and all USCCA members, my name is Len, I don’t have an inventory of weapons. I have a few for hunting and home protection. I would rather have a gun and not need it, than need it and not have it. Y’all be safe and in good health.

Welcome, @Len! I don’t have a huge weapons inventory either, but I 100% trust the ones I have which is the important part.

Glad to have you here.

Not sure what you’re referring to @John12? You should have a USCCA Member Badge. Is that showing up corrupted for you?

Good morning everyone my name is Mike, I am a retired British Commando, I retired on September 23rd 2011 and in October of the same year I moved with my wife ( who is a US Navy Veteran) and 2 kids to America. My Family and I live in Port Orange, Florida. I am the owner of Go Commando Firearms Trainning, I am a USCCA instructor. I and my wife both carry. I also work as a Volusia County Schools, Guardian. As a Guardian my job is basically the first line of defense for the School. Hopefully I will never have to, but I am prepared to defend my school with everything I have. We Carry Concealed at work. I love my job, I am glad that the skills I have and continue to gain, can be used to help Protect Children. Anyway nice to meet everyone, I am looking forward to having some great discussions and reading some great stuff!!

Hello everyone,

My name is Nathan and I work as a wildlife technician all over the country. This job requires me to walk into deep woods alone on many occasions and potentially encounter dangerous animals, which includes humans, and being that I am a NJ resident on paper I cannot apply for a NJ license (we all know they have a quasi ban going on the second amendment). I have a non-resident CCW from Utah so some states respect my right to carry, but others require you to have a license in your state of residency so I am S.O.L in those states. I cannot wait to either move to a state that respects my rights, or see a drastic change in NJ.

Welcome @MoonWolf. Out of curiosity, what do you carry in the woods, if you don’t mind saying?

You might want to consider PA, we are not that far and are pretty gun friendly. Just stay out of Philly.

When and where I can I carry a Springfield XDS chambered in a .45ACP. I choose that size because although the ammunition count is lower than a 9mm the stopping power (God forbid I ever need it) is there for larger mammals such as black bear, wild boar, or large predators in states that have them. I figure if they are actively trying to attack me if I don’t get it down in the first 3 shots I can pretty much kiss my health goodbye anyway lol.

Actually I visit mid-state Pennsylvania often and have lived just outside of Philly for a few years already. I agree it is a top choice to move to once I settle down, and also I plan to stay well clear of Philly. Thanks for the suggestion.
