More info on me, been married for 27 years, how? I have no idea why she stuck with me but im not arguing. We have a 14 year old daughter whos passion is hockey. Shes been playing on a boys team for the last 8 years. We lived in AK for 18 years, loved it. Regret moving back to MI everyday.

Hi everyone! My name is Melissa. I live in Florida with my husband and two dogs. My brother taught me how to shoot handguns. My father taught me how to hunt and shoot rifles. I come from a family of military service. I was the only one that didn’t join the military because of medical reasons.
My brother offered to teach me how to shoot handguns to protect myself. He taught me how to shoot with his Beretta 9 mm. After going through several types and brands of guns, I found one that I liked and would prefer to carry, I found the Taurus G3C. Being in Florida I can conceal carry without having to get a license. Our governor passed that law in July last year.
I work delivering Uber Eats, GrubHub,Spark and Shipt. And with all the attacks and robberies I’ve heard about over the years I was really happy that our governor passed that conceal carry law. I feel a great deal safer delivering now.
I’ve been yelled at, cussed out, spit on, threatened and even had some guy grab my car door and tried to keep me from shutting it while screaming at me for pulling into his driveway. (I was delivering groceries from Walmart to his house).
So being able to carry while I work is a godsend for me. I hope to get some good advice while I’m here. I’m really happy to have a community of like-minded others to turn to for advice. It’ll be nice getting more opinions than just my brother’s on some things.

I am a retired military veteran and also a retired Florida law enforcement officer. I have been carrying for over 30 years and carry because I believe in my 2A right and protecting myself, family and others against those who would wish to do harm. I love the outdoors, mostly anything involving water or history. I carry a .40 everywhere I go at all times.
