Hello everyone, I’m happy to be here. My name is Chris and I live in Bennington, Vermont. I love the outdoors and have been shooting guns since I was 5 years old. I’m 48 now. Rifles have been by thing all along. I just recently purchased a Ruger American Compact, 9mm pistol since Vermont is a constitutional carry state so no permit or registration is needed. I’m looking forward to learning all I can to safely carry/use my gun. With everything going on in this crazy world, I feel much better being a USCCA member now. Thank you for offering this service. I feel it’s just as important as home-owners, or life insurance, to protect my family.
Randy b from Wisconsin going for concealed class soon. Think it’s a good idea considering unpredictable events these days loving the uscca resources
Welcome brother and god bless you
Thank you Johnnyq60. I’m happy to have my extended family of brothers and sisters now. God bless you as well as America.
Welcome to the family y’all! Glad you found us!
Well, I’ve been shooting since my days in the Scouts, 44 years. My first job was with the late James Hoag, a 1911, S&W revolver, and Hi-Power gunsmith who was good friends with the late Jeff Cooper. While I have shot trap, some skeet, a little IDPA and IPSC, I just like historical arms - old rifles, handguns and shotguns. I just love to snap caps though I also understand the need to be protective.
Hello Everyone
We are Delighted to join such a vibrant & professional community. Hubby and I are on our way to purchase our first set of handguns this morning. The “Guns & Gear” threads were phenomenal with assessment lists of what to evaluate when purchasing. Learned more in one hour of reviewing that thread than reading a book. I’m reviewing my saved threads now.
Blessings to all. Talk soon
Hi,
I’m an IT dude who has handled guns since the age of 8, hunting Quail and Deer in the Tennessee mountains with my grandfather. Today, I live in the Raleigh, NC area with my wife and two children. I recently received my CCW Permit and carry a Sig P365XL daily.
So far, the USCCA community seems to be a really friendly place to ask for advice. I’m glad I became a member.

Hello to All. Pleased to be part of the community. - Paul
Hello all my name is FatsoJoe and recently joined USCCA. I live in central Alabama in the middle of nowhere and its nice and quiet. I am retired US Army and I enjoy firearms as a hobby and as a responsible conceal carry gun owner. I am a fan of metal handguns like the Sig MK25 and CZ 75 series. I like the polymer wonders as well. The CZ 75D PCR and S&W 4" M&P 2.0 is what I like to EDC. If I could I would conceal a Mossberg 590-hahaha. I like to shoot and shoot often. I did use the National Forest BUT since the epidemic its been closed and now I use a private range. Life is good. Stay safe out there.
Welcome Heath. Glad to have you here. Stay safe, Bruce and Nancy.
Randy from Wisconsin going for concealed carry soon going with glock 27 gen 4

• Who are you? I’m James “JD”, an active duty soldier in the Fort Bragg, NC area.
• What got you interested in carrying and self-defense? I’ve always been within the realm of Self Defense (e.g. Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, and some grappling), but being raised in D.C. proper, an introduction to legal firearms or any activity derived from them was scarce.
• How long have you been training for your self-defense? I self-taught on laws across the U.S. (reciprocity), and used current events to research What happened? Why it happened? Cost to prove innocence? Penalty if found guilty? etc.… for 5 to six months before purchasing a Mossberg Shockwave (590 – 12 Gauge) I live in Raeford, SW of Fort Bragg and training (to include the quality of it) is a true challenge.
• What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten regarding your self-defense? If you can’t make it to the range regularly; Dry fire, dry fire, dry fire and get up and close w/ fundamentals, methodologies, fire arms & munitions sciences and know your weapon inside out.
• What’s your favorite gun? A quality 10mm
• How often do you train? As often as the wife lets me. Haha Click, click, click, all day.
• How have you gotten your friends and family involved? My neighbors are unique, and I don’t have to go far at all when mentorship is needed. We purchased the wife a snub nose revolver in 2009 before I deployed. She hasn’t touched it. Once I reach a higher level of proficiency, she has agreed to go to the range w/ me regularly
• What do you hope to learn from others in the USCCA Community? To build on my current level of knowledge, to network, and learn new things.
Thank you for your service James and welcome to our family, God bless you.
Hello Everyone, my name is Michael. I am happy to be a member of the USCCA Community, just being a member I feel safer.
