Hi Fizbin

Quick story on how I picked up Carving Walking Sticks - I live in Delaware, moved into a 55 + Community - I never had a hobby workaholic - I found myself more at home these days and because I worked all of my adult life and gave it 150% I went stir crazy quickly - so one of my neighbors was getting a knee operation and it started as a joke - I went to home depot bought a stick and through Amazon but tons of carving bits - The neighbor loved it - Personally I thought it was ok not easy carving - well he communicated to the community and here I am making walking sticks for my neighbors - Still far from perfect but very relaxing and fun - problem is you can really only do it outside - Bought a drone too :frowning: lol - Drone also really is fun in the summer time - SO thanks for your interest and allowing me to tell my story , will post some picks

Nice story. So do folks in the community like your drone buzzing around?
By your name …58, are you HS class of 80? I was class of 81, good times back then. Lots of memories of me being an awful teenager, but it was fun. Music was great, playing soccer, my first car (Pinto), drinking age was 18, going to Red’s games, etc.

LMAO thats funny - I too was not a great kid - I grew up in NYC lower east side / it was a war zone then - I have been blessed most of my life - Grew up poor / got into trouble and emerge out of that I am the president of a international Company that serves the Food Industry /

Even though it was a war zone you are absolutely right it was good times things were so different then / I laugh at your Pinto reminder that was extremely funny its amazing how cars have change from those days - ( I fly my drone over farms and over water and away from the public to avoid any issues with people’s privacy - where are you from ?

Hello, I’m Joe. I’m a Cyber Planner for the Air National Guard. Been serving in the military for the past 28 years and still going. Most of my career has been repairing fighters and serving as a First Sergeant in Security Forces.

I developed a passion for firearms when I fired the M-16 for the first time. I made marksman and had no experience with firearms prior to that time.

Now I’ve built up a small collection of Springfield Armory firearms. I just love the reliability, safety and accuracy I’ve had with their firearms.

I’ve been a CCW holder for 13 years and I’m also a member of the USCCA, NRA and the Buckeye Firearms Association. “Go BUCKS!”

Hello all,
Retired USAF, concealed carrier for 18 years. Training has been limited to initial CPL class and YSINTG by MDFI. (You suck it’s not the gun). Also retired from DoD as an environmental protection specialist, sounds more impressive than what it was😁.
Looking to pick up more knowledge here and hopefully develop some friendships with like minded citizens.
Be safe out there!

Hello, my name is Russell & my wife is Janie…It was her decision to join USCCA…SINCE, then, we have been backed up by our membership several times, unfortunately. We are both disabled, she was the target of one of the 6 home attacks we have had, over the last 3 years.
[edited for @Russell17’s protection due to ongoing legal procedings]
Join USCCA NOW! & GET YOUR FAMILY TO ALSO! THANK YOU! :broken_heart:

Well, after all these months and how many posts, I’m here to introduce myself (got so excited, I forgot - that’s my story and I’m sticking to it).

The name is Rich and I’m from East-central WI. After my divorce, I took a long hard look at my life and the world in general. That lead to my permit, 2 handguns and an AR kit (fun to build). As an LTL truck driver, 12-14 hr days don’t give me a lot of time for training but this site has been a great source for information as time permits. The USCCA’s ‘coverage’ also helps ease the anxiety of the aftermath of a defensive event.

I had a shotgun that my dad gave me in HS but I’ve never been one to hunt, much to his dismay I believe. Besides shooting that a few times, a neighbor took us out a few times and we shot some of his guns. The more unusual were probably his Japanese 6.5mm bolt and his Colt .44 Buntline.

At this point, I still don’t know how much I don’t know but I read as much as I can and watch the new videos almost as fast as they come out. The misc section is mostly where I post. Some may think I’m a fool but I don’t want to remove any doubt by posting in some of the other areas (at least for now).

See y’all around the boards…
