We Just Want To Know Where They Are

In Graves’ novel, Claudius the God, there’s a story about a Roman client-king whose hobby was collecting weapons and suits of armor - an entire room of his palace was given to the 100-or-so he owned and displayed. When word got back to Rome about this, the army and government officials were sent to seize and confiscate his collection, on the pretense of fomenting a rebellion. Sound familiar?
