Walmart, what are you thinking?!

This Walmart sounds like the one we have here in the desert. The gun counter is never attended and it can take up to an hour to get help. On the open carry we have a great number of survivalist in the area and Walmart is always shopped by these groups who load up on supplies once a month or so and always open carry. My good friend buys all his ammo there and when we go to the range he either buys his ammo in advance or we’re late to the range. BTW, the range is an area out of town in the desert with sand and mounds built with a D8.

I live in Florida so we don’t have open carry so it doesn’t really affect me and I’m more of a concealed carry

Looks like a good reason to shop elsewhere. Old Sam Walton has been spinning in his grave over the mismanagement of the stores for years-ever since they left the “made in America” model that he started. For the youngsters amongst us, believe it or not there was a time when Walmart’s claim to fame was “Made in America”. He kept a lot of small American manufacturers in business with his massive orders-after he died the kids found out that Chinese goods could be bought for less and sold for the same price, raising their profits additional millions. They promptly forgot old Sam’s policy, hence today’s Wallyworld☹️

Maybe it is a blessing to be banned. It is not your fault and please do not blame yourself
in any way. There are better places to be in this world and Walmart is not the answer. The
problems with Walmart is not Walmart, it is the chosen target that a gunman has
pick out to hurt and destroy. Situational Awareness, Protecting your Families, Gun Safety, and follow the laws that we are to follow. Walk away at any cost and please help others to safety as well. I do not have all the answers.

In Texas businesses are required to post visable signs at the entrance that are in both English and Spanish. These signs are normally 30.06 for no firearms allowed, or 30 07 for concealed weapons allowed. As a Texas LTC holder I can also open carry in a 30 07 business, unless they specify CC only. If there is no sign, that defaults to firearms are permitted. Another exception is the 51% rule, not allowed to carry a firearm in a business that gets more than 50% of their revenues from alcohol related sales.
Walmart has taken a stance of conceal carry only. But not ONE Walmart I have visited has a posted sign regarding their firearms policy. So "legally I can walk right in. But since I watch the news I know better. What about the person that doesn’t see the news? Can they legally get banned or arrested?
I am curious about other Texas Walmarts. Any other Texas LTC holders here see any signs at Walmart?

No signs in WI. WaldoMart either. A friend of Nancy’s was in Shawano WaldoMart two weeks ago (she is a CCW holder and was carrying) and she observed a guy come in open carrying and began shopping. A young woman came up and loudly proclaimed “That offends me” while pointing to his firearm. Of course the “Associates” were right on that (try to find one if you need help) and the guy was asked to leave and was escorted out the door.

I have been reading here and Wal-Mart is a business that is strange on all side. There is much
stress and confusion every time they choose to change their policies and just like their firearms
policies, you must wait a 3 day waiting period before you can take home you firearm, (Rifle or Shot Gun),
and now, you may have to wait up to 14 days and that is with the customer having a CC Permit and
legally clean.

I have not seen any signs warning to not carry a firearm so that moves forward, but I am from FLORIDA
and we all have to Conceal and Carry our firearms hidden and carried correctly at all times,
You can be arrested or banned from the stores and that is a fight you do not wish to follow.

I watched several people on video from TEXAS, that where very improper in carrying and very sloppy.
That is very bad thing to do. It can get you removed, send wrong inventation to a thief that it makes you a target, (EASY ONE) ! I prefer to stay concealed and while carrying at all time,

Wal-Mart only cares to sell their product and that is all they care about, not your well being.

Thank you !

I live in Tempe, Arizona. And I haven’t seen any NO GUNS ALLOWED at any of the Walmart’s that I’ve been to. And Arizona is a Constitutional Carry state. And when I go out I always carry. and depending of if it is my 1911 or 9 MM also depends on if I’m CC with my 9 MM or open with my 1911. And so far no one has said anything bad about it. Although I have had people ask me questions about my 1911 when I carry it. But nothing bad.

Wallyworld “allows” concealed carry but doesn’t want open carry after the last shooting and then the IDIOT that carried his AR through the store to scare people. I am sure Sam Walton would roll in his grave if he could see what has been done to his store.
