USCCA Spam emails

Hey sir, when you responded to my post earlier, you hit the little black reverse arrow symbol. This showed up on our Community here for me and everyone else to read.

At the same time, the Community system also sent me an email. The email just repeated the same post you sent me earlier.

Please understand that I can’t see your email address and you can’t see my email address either. The emails are just telling people that someone responded to a post we wrote.

I got your response to me both here at our Community AND my personal email. But I don’t know what your personal email address is and you don’t know mine either.

All of this is a normal part of the Community. People can send you messages but only through our Community here. Please don’t worry. None of us know your email address.

I like you and don’t want you to worry about this any longer. God bless you sir.

These are not the games, sir.
A lot of account setting are setup by default and you must adjust them to your needs.
I know it might be hard to navigate through the phone and if we cannot help you with this, please call USCCA and they will walk you through.

There’s no reason to blame everyone and everything for something we don’t know how to fix. There’s also not a shame to not know something.

We tried, we failed. Next step - call USCCA.

Users are not emailing you directly, the Community software is sending you an email. We the users of the forum don’t have your email address.

Please call 877 677 1919 or email support @uscca.com , and ask them how to change your Community settings so that you do not receive emails.

Your settings appear to be such that when people reply to you on the community, a copy of that post is emailed to you. Users are not emailing you,

Check your email preferences under account settings.
I switched mine to NEVER… and I was still receiving emails from “Tim Schmidt” at least twice per week.
Please notice - the “USCCA” and “USCCA Community” have their own email preferences.

Log into the member site at uscca.com

Click Member Account towards the right.

Then click on Email Preferences

You can also call or chat or respond to the emails about opting out

Thanks guys. Both locations have it all turned off. Still…they come!

Click “unsubscribe”… as it says in the email.
This is a “system” email that somehow bypass account settings.

Are those emails going to the exact same email address that is on your membership?

I have done all of these things. Still, they come.

And they will… You must live with this :wink:
I was upset about such situation last year… but I don’t care anymore. It’s just few clicks per week. It’s nothing comparing to hours I will need to find different solution.

Or do you not have a memerbership?

If you have a membership, and you are getting those, call or chat, because those emails sound like they are looking to get you to sign up.

These emails come from USCCA, not Community.

Thanks Jerzy. I’m unchecked on all on both platforms. I’m not sure those check boxes are connected to anything.

Fortunately, I did discover that I can block threads as well as people, so that helps with the F-book like posts that have so cluttered our lovely site. Some folks are posting dozens of new garbage threads every day. I wish that they had something of value to do…
