Convention of States is the only way, these clowns in DC will not police themselves!

As someone who was willing to go to the mat for my country. Do you realize how broken our country is? That those words are something we have to even remotely consider. That there may be some validity to that.
We were/ are the envy of the world, and our way of life is still better than anywhere else IMO. But we have fallen so far, in my lifetime.
I’m a fairly well read person l, but I’m not a crusader about my religious beliefs. But a lot of what’s going on right now feels like the Book of Revelations, specifically

Around here they very tactically don’t put their political affiliation on there main campaign web page, you have to do some looking around to see which party they align with.
A convention of the states is a terrifying idea to me. Once that convention is open, literally the entire constitution is up for modification! There’s no limit, and nothing to stop the left wing states from totally repealing the second amendment or the electoral college. Hell, they could even push to eliminate the Senate, as they claim it gives inordinate power to conservative red states. Citizens today are not educated, informed or involved enough to go modifying the constitution, nor do enough people know how to compromise and do what’s best for the country over themselves.
In my opinion, the constitution is the only thing holding this struggling country together, and thank God it’s really hard to change, because we as a country aren’t qualified anymore to mess with it.
Too many people think we’re a democracy. We’re not. We’re a representative republic, and that’s because the founders understood that democracy is three wolves and a sheep deciding what’s for dinner.
But of course you do! If they are in charge of what happens to my kids once they become captive audience in school - I damn better run a background check on them.
Thankfully, there are declarations and tracks folks leave when they run campaigns, and it is easy to read that language.

I respectfully disagree that the entire constitution is up for debate, An Article V convention derives its authority from the terms of Article V itself and is therefore limited to proposing amendments to the Constitution we already have, pursuant to the prescribed procedures.

Funny how the people who claim they lost because the vote count was rigged and is corrupt, still want you to give them a dollar to finance their election campaign and turn out to vote for them. If elections are decided by who controls the county Clerk & Recorder’s office, then why does anyone need to turn out to cast a vote for their favorite candidate?
We need to start “cancelling the cancel culture”. How do we do that?
Patronize the business they try to boycott. Buy the products they want to boycott. Listen to the music they try to ban.
In my opinion, we need to think for ourselves, act for ourselves, and as much as we can, do for ourselves.
Go on YT and watch the reaction videos from varying walks of life. Almost all have found zero racism or offensive language; just a warning to the faction that there will be different reaction to their actions.
History can show us how far we’ve come in almost 100 years since the happenings at that location.

Totally with it, however, the truth is if you react in the way Jason says we would, you would have the
aCLU, States Attorney’s Office and several Law Enforcement Agencies, including our beloved FB of I coming to your town to accuse YOU of criminal discriminatory acts. The world we live in today doesn’t recognize the act of self defense as a legal response to assault, robbery or any other criminal act. The defender is just as guilty as the criminal. Might just as well lock your front door and watch TV and hope no one tries to break in.
Its a good thing its so hard to invoke. Right now Gavin Newsom is trying to have one to repeal the 2nd.
Personally, I don’t believe that our governmental problems can be fixed by amending the constitution. It requires that We The People hold our elected leaders accountable to defend and uphold the constitution as they are required to do. We can write anything in there we want, but if the people we elect don’t follow it and we let them get away with it, that’s on us.
Edit to add, he claims hes not trying to repeal the 2nd, but thats a lie to build support. What he’s written would completely gut the rights we have, and I’m willing to bet there are a disturbing nimber of people in this country that support him.
I’ve talked about this here. A couple of the pro 2a groups I am affiliated with are vehemently against a Convention of the States. Mainly due to the idea of faithless delegates. As it stands right now there is nothing in place to hold a State’s delegation or even individual delegates accountable to the State that sent them, or that’s State’s desired position.
Wyoming had a big blowout within it’s Convention of the States adherent’s.
I’m very aware of what a Convention of the States would encompass. The people that I have discussed this with are more worried about “faithless delegates” as there isn’t an enforcement item to hold them accountable to their State and it’s position.
