I would hope that the whole Covid fiasco and continuing food shortages and inflation would be motivating everyone to get more prepared for future supply disruptions. Unfortunately most people seem to have very short memories to go along with their normalcy biases.
Then there are some others who seem to think that simply getting a firearm will solve all their supply chain problems. Either through hunting or taking what they need from others. Both those options are likely to only provide very short term relief in a long term crises.

Even out here in the less densely populated West hunting and gathering would quickly become unsustainable. Maybe it would work in an apocalyptic scenario where 90% of the population suddenly died off in the first month or two of the disaster. But even then being able to grow and raise your own food would almost certainly be a better long term strategy.

The other thing that keeps them on the couch is the election of Trump.
They figure all their political problems are solved. So, kick back, crack a cool one and wait for the prices and taxes to go down and the wages to go up.

Food storage is essential. Cans, dry goods, etc. Absolutely.
Oh, and by the way, carp fishing is 100% sustainable, a self- regenerating in no time at all 100% natural food supply.
The Chinese buy it from us by the tonnage.

0% natural in the U.S. is my understanding. But I would definitely keep that in mind as a backup plan if I lived anywhere near a body of water with carp in it.

Well everyone, IMHO I don’t think we have anyone to really blame. Neither Republicans nor Demoncrats, This is because of a specific kind of Flu. I personally know of 2 people who raise chickens locally here in Md. and both of them are taken as much preventive care as they can

My thoughts the bird flu has been around a loooong time and i hear they are just now thinking about a vac for that now ??? as far as rabbits and other small wild game that I grew up on thinking about it I ate perty good oh and frog legs yea well as the saying it goes a country boy can survive with my shot gun/ rifle and 4X4 I think i can make it.

Lots of people go on about the rabbit flu and all that, but all one need do is cook it properly and you’ll have no problems.
As a youngin’, I went into the woods with my shotgun, traps and snares and killed rabbit, pheasant, squirrels, fish, etc. and dressed and cleaned them and gave them to my mom. She put them in her crock put and made us a fine meal. No one else in the family would eat the wild game but mom and I. They didn’t know what they were missin’.
I felt good about it, like I was contributing to the family. Mom always encouraged me.
Nobody ever got the rabbit flu. Lol.

It’s all part of a diabolical plan. Fauci and company are introducing the idea of vaccines for all kinds of imaginary diseases so they’ll become so commonplace that nobody will object to getting jabbed 2 or 3 times a year. By gradually tweaking the formulas they will come up with the perfect combination that will provide a calming effect and reduce the jabbies’ IQ by 50 to 60%. This will transform the population into a submissive sheeplike herd that will gleefully vote democrat every 4 years until the country is reduced to a steaming pile of poo.
