The Republicrats answer to soaring prices?
It’s patriotic to pay high prices!
Remember kids, as the collapse comes ever nearer…
Rabbits are some of the best animal proteins there is.
Wabbits.
A wabbit saved my life once.
How so?
I ate him.
Stock up on .22 LR and hogh quality air arms.
Yes our father… The US Empire is going to collapse… The World is going to collapse…
But for now it’s only lack of freaking eggs…
So I’m guessing the Strongest will survive.
Did you know, a rabbit is the most underutilized game animal there is?
That fine manicured lawn of yours can be utilized to grow food for your family instead of remaining the waste of resources it actually is.
Did you know?
You need to be careful about protein poisoning from a diet made up mostly of rabbit meat. Rabbit meat is so lean that it does not provide the fat your body needs to absorb essential vitamins. You also need to worry about tularemia from eating improperly cooked rabbit as well as catching the new rabbit Ebola like disease that is going around just by handling sick rabbits.
Plus if your survival plan relies on hunting wild rabbits you are going to be competing with a lot of other very hungry hunters for a quickly dwindling resource.
Raising rabbits for meat can be a very good survival or inflation impact reducing strategy though. As long as you have other food and fat sources to mix in with the rabbit meat. And so long as you can keep the wild animals and wild neighbors from taking your rabbits.
My biggest thing here is that if it really gets to the point of needing to hunt game to survive…basically nobody CONUS will be able to sustain that way.
Literally Lewis and Clark shot/trapped out all the game around their winter camp out west and had to learn to eat roots and things from the locals because they couldn’t make it the winter on game they got locally.
It’s beyond fiction to think people CONUS these days, especially in the east half, are going to do anything resembling sustainability on game
Well said.
But don’t use this info as an excuse to sit on your arse and do nothing.
During the Soviet Union collapse and in the aftermath, Russians had to fend for themselves. They grew giant community gardens even in major cities where everyone participated and benefitted.
They did what they had to do to make it work and get by. They stayed fat, happy and content.
Russians also had something Americans do not have: social cohesion.
You may need protect your cabbage patch with deadly force.
Your chickens?
Yes 8.
All I hear is Crickets … entomophagy
And don’t forget…
Carp is good nutrition, easy to get, more than plentiful, is the most caught, most utilized freshwater fish on the planet.
Americans fail to utilize this tremendous resource. To the rest of the world, carp is just business as usual.
Keep taking those notes, you’re gonna need 'em.
Entomophagy is the practice of eating insects… God I thought that was funny…
Mormon crickets make great trout bait. I still have some in the freezer.
