The silence about silencers

Since the changes to the laws about silencers has anyone bought themselves a silencer? I just inquired about getting a silencer but there are no threaded barrels in stock to order. My guys at the local FFL said it took a new purchase only six days to get his silencer.
I was curious about if anyone here has purchased a silencer and how it went at getting one.
I am getting a silencer for my Glock 21. Looking forward to the day.

I purchased one earlier this year through Capitol Armory. Eform submitted Feb 6th, ATF approved Mar 4th, at my doorstep Mar 14thish.

Far less time than my first purchase back in 2024.

Quick search showed threaded G21 barrels in stock, $99 at km Tactical, $169 at silencerco and $200 at Glock store.

My last can was bought before the tax went to zero. Silencerco Omega45k, been using it on my Stribog. Ordered it Monday evening iirc, was shooting with it Wednesday morning. First two cans took 16.75 months. 5.56 and .3xx caliber. The bigger one makes .300wm tolerable and .308win a pleasure. Smaller has me hearing the action on the AR’s, and either one on .22lr is almost like the movies. Haven’t gotten around to suppressing a pistol yet, juice not worth the squeeze for me, but have the adapter for a G21 and the pistons, don’t have a threaded barrel or suppressor height sights.

Downside of cans is quicker crud accumulation and increased pressures, though thinking the new flow-through designs may help alleviate this. POI shift another issue on occasion.

What’d you get?..edit, duh, a barrel I’m guessing

Got ahead of myself here, interested in when you get a can and how you like it.

I’ll vouch for silencerco customer service. I got my Omega at the lgs, and it came with 2 adapters, 2 pistons, 2 springs. The adapters were duplicates (1/2-28) so were fine for the Stribog, but there was supposed to be a 5/8-24 for .300BO. I ordered a couple adapters, and let them know about my situation, and they reimbursed my $85 5/8 plate and told me to keep the spare 1/2. Rush delivery as well.
