Yes. But have you ever watched how actors drive in the movies? They can’t even get that right.

I was so encouraged when I went to the range recently to see a new CCW class of mostly grandmas. We connected and laughed about being the grandma brigade. Nice image

This could be “The image of gun owners”. The “Good Guy with a gun” protecting his family. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yup! My wife and I walk our small dog in the evenings - he’s a yummy treat in the eyes of the coyotes that live in our area. And we have plenty of them. So I’m always armed whenever we’re out with or without him. Pesky varmints.

There’s no bag limit on coyotes in Wisconsin!

Maybe, maybe not. “Unlocked door” is a bit of a spoiler here, lack of attention to details.

Of course the rest of us wouldn’t miss a door during a nightly check, at least he was armed and ready. I wish they had published the type of handgun and how many hits. Just curious.
I would also have a talk with the wife about the uncontrollable screaming. :scream:

An update to the story. :slightly_smiling_face:

Of course, we all know that bears know how to open doors. I mean, look at the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears… they lived in a house. :sunglasses: The story also states they forgot to lock the door that night. I guess that bear must have been casing their house just for them to make that mistake…

Don’t think o, my Dad taught me in the 50’s, HIS Dad taught him in the 30’s and THE prime things were NEVER, Ever point ANY weapon and anything you were not wanting to destroy and Never, for ANY reason place a finger inside the trigger guard until you were ready to shoot. Dad and Grandpaw were both Serious quail hunters, and Dad carried an M1Thompson from 1942-1945 so they knew a fair bit about firearms and shooting…

No “perhaps” about it. Absolutely deliberate. Mainstream media making celebrities of the scary, “out of control” mass shooters plays right into the anti-gun narrative they push. Unfortunately it also encourages those who crave attention and notoriety at any cost to emulate these mentally unbalanced murderers. A lose-lose approach to be sure.

All firearm owners should be united in a cause to make gun ownership look better to everyone. Unfortunately we are not.We are stereotyped from the start .It even happens in this forum. If you choose to open carry and like full size handguns you are a type. The positive image may just need to start among us…if you and i as gun owners just try to get along.Im not saying dont have your own opinion, its the snide remarks.Im guilty too.Just my opinion.

Appreciate your words and attempts Scott361. As hard as it would be to create that change you suggest, I agree with your premises. It’s a noble and worthy cause.

I’d add an extra emphasis on safety and preventing accidents. That part has become my passion last year.
