The first income tax was instituted by Lincoln, to help fund the war of northern aggression. I, and the current “income tax”, are excise taxes. They apply ONLY to a small subset of individuals. Nearly everyone “pays” due to the withholding.

Hi Don. WOW! Thank you. It took a while to read through all the information after reading a 16th amendment. Of course There is no way anyone could contain all that information, but it is organized in such a way a person taking notes could refer later to the bullet points for further explanation.
