The DUMBEST Question!

Yeah, the muzzle break on the .50 redirects gasses to the rear of the gun, which in effect pulls the gun forward mitigating the recoil….

The suppressor contains those gasses, and their expansion can’t be utilized in recoil mitigation.

Your normal gun doesn’t use those gases at all, so a suppressor containing them and adding weight to the muzzle will actually help with recoil .

I’m neutral when it comes to politics as much as possible. I realize I have to live in this world and I’m not living anyplace else. I love this country and the people in it. I don’t have any faith in our governments from city to federal. I’m retired army. I guess I shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds me.

That would be taxpayers. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

100% correct. How did the federal government exist before the temporary income tax?

They followed the constitution. They didnt pay for all social justice crap and stupid spending we do now.

DOGE proved we can cut waste but that stopped real quick

Hi Joel106. You’re right. The federal government was supposed to exist primarily on tariffs on imports and exports and did until after the first World war. Then, the first income tax, (supposedly temporary), to help pay for The debt we incurred in World war I. The American people stood for it becoming permanent. Then a few corrupt politicians found out how easy it was to divert some of those taxes into their pockets. Then it was like an avalanche. Hasn’t stopped yet. Oh, we, the taxpayers, do benefit from all these taxes. It’s the leftover,“crumbs”, from the main entrees. I believe it’s still better than anywhere else in the world. I definitely do not have the wisdom to fix it. I don’t think mankind can fix it. If you look at history of governments that failed, You will see our government and military is headed down that path. We have spread our military way too thin.

Me and a buddy of mine tried something similar back in the late 80’s with his shotgun and a 1-gallon plastic milk jug. The first shot did muffle the sound a little. Very little. The second shot was amplified because the milk jug, with the bottom torn out from the first shot, acted like a megaphone.

It brings a smile to my face and makes me chuckle any time I see you post “.50BMG suppressed”. Love it!

Now to convince the wife that we “need” a suppressed .50BMG… lol

Hahahaha… She would see straight through that BS if I ever said it. I’m not even sure I could keep a straight face long enough to say it. lol. Given we are entering Spring / Summer here, the garage option is less appealing to me..

I’ll work her down, she did say “I’d love a TTI Ballerina”…
