This is what’s happening, the suicide numbers are being used to increase the death tolls (GUN SHOOTINGS)
and the wrong message is sent out to falsely blame. shootings. Mass shootings, and suicides recordings are not true.

Many years ago while still on active duty. A discussion on the Geneva convention came up. It was mentioned that using 50 cal against troops was against was against it… Someone spoke up and said " There is no pleasant way to be done in" It is a loose comparison to the methods of ending life.

Once during M2 PMI, the instructor (NCO) was describing the effects of the .50 caliber on things like truck engines, buildings, the human body… “WHOA!” This Major interrupted from the back of the class. “You can’t use a .50 cal on a person.”
Without flinching, the instructor replied, “Oh yes you can, trust me, it’s very effective.”
The law of proportionality is what the Major was concerned about. If I have a 5.56 rifle and I’m within the effective range, I should use that. But if all I have is a .50 cal, then it’s fair game.

The old joke when I was in the Army was that you use the .50 cal for their equipment only. We would then point out that load bearing equipment (LBE) and canteens etc were equipment. As were helmets and rucksacks. GI humor.
