What the Demoncrats have failed continually to take into consideration with their gun grabbing tactics is the new, tougher laws they want only hurt the law-abiding citizens. Criminals will still have access to any firearm they choose while we suffer.

The so-called gun violence problem in the nation today is not a gun problem. It is a mental health problem. If all the guns in the world magically evaporated tomorrow, anyone wanting to commit crime or do harm still has the option to do so. They would need to grab a sword, or a pitchfork, or a shovel, 2x4, brick, knife, whatever they could get their hands on and go do whatever they have in their minds to do.

CHANCE FAVORS THE PREPARED MIND.

If someone wants to go commit crime or harm someone else and they have their mind fully engaged to do so, not having a firearm will not stop them.

Just sayin’.

Crazy folks commit crimes with guns because they get better coverage and it’s dramatic. A car is a far deadlier weapon of mass destruction than an AR. I could go on a spree and kill 50 people in my city by running them over before anyone could stop me or even figure it out if I’m careful. But discharge a gun and everyone is all over it and its guaranteed national news.

They wouldn’t be crazy if they got the love they needed in the first place. Try using your car as a means of self defense when a murderer/rapist breaks into your home. Just sayin’

Seen plenty of examples of folks who grew up loved and supported and still grew up to be turds. Not sure where the logic of using a car for SD fits into this discussion.

Crazy is crazy, if they don’t have a gun they will use a car, a knife, a baseball bat, or a truck full of fertilizer. The gun is immaterial to their intent, it’s just a tool for the emotionally driven seeking fame and the government and liberal media have created the suitable environment for that.

I wasn’t speaking in theoreticals. It has been proven by actual events that you can do way more people and property damage with a vehicle than with a firearm in a much shorter period of time.

It’s also factual that folks doing the mass shootings etc are looking for their 15 mins of fame as proven by their manifestos and social media postings, and they know firearms especially the ones that attract massive media attention like ARs are a guaranteed way of doing this even though they could use far deadlier methods.

Again I don’t understand why the concept of using a car for SD fits into any of this.

Yeah I agree some people just want to make the papers so to speak and the only way they can do it is to break the law. I was referring to @BruceE ‘s hypothetical situation of all the guns disappearing. I think maybe we were talking about two different things. Magically evaporated is the way he put it.

I think the actual health “crisis” is a mental health crisis amongst the criminal element who think everything must be settled with gunfire. You don’t hear about NRA members or GOA members engaging in shoot-outs. It’s always gang members or other criminal “masterminds.”
It’s seriously annoying that the leftists / statists always want to clamp down on the average American citizen’s Constitutional rights when the problem originates elsewhere. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Col. Cooper once said that if you look past crime statistics and objectively see who is actually getting shot/killed, for the majority of cases it’s people society is better off without.

So he suggested we target certain locations and drop off cases of ammo to keep them well supplied while they shot each other
