Shirt and Tie Carry (too hot for jacket)

When in the formal environment, with a tie expectation, and it is too hot to wear the jacket the whole time, what are viable options to carry concealed?

There is buying a smaller pistol for pocket carry … … … to which my wife holds the notion of “one in and one out,” so this will take a while to work through, especially without the budget currently to by another.

My subcompact may very well be too big for viable ankle carry…

I recognize off-body is an option, but one cannot always carry a satchel in a formal setting…

Anyone with concealed shoulder holster experience?

Thoughts?

Thanks

I have a small revolver and a small semi-auto I ankle carry for this situation.
Maybe a “Sneaky Pete” holster.

This is what I use for shirt and tie attire with a Glock 19 or a S&W Shield 9mm. It’s what I have on me right now.

Full disclosure: this is day 2 of this setup. I used the older Crossbreed Belly band for years and recently upgraded. It’s an improvement.

I had to go to the shoulder holster wearing only because of my back. It is not the most concealable method, but it gets me by. I also do not have any sub compact weapons. They do not feel good in my hands.

I wear business dress clothes every day for work, and carry everywhere I go. I have this little revolver in a DeSantis nemesis pocket holster right now. I’m sure to bring it with me when I buy pants, and I make sure the dress or suit pants I get have deep enough pockets. I also by loose fitting, pleated pants and it totally disappears in there. I’ve been wearing this setup for years. A good work friend I’m with often was shocked to learn I had it with me. He said he never would have known. It’s only five shots, but they’re five hard hitting Underwood +P, and I know if I do my job, it will do its, God forbid I need it.

I’ve wondered about the belly band… if I have a tie I may be able to get away with not fastening every button.

The mini-tuck is for smaller pistols than what I have. Same with ankle

As of now, a smaller pistol for ankle or pocket is outside the budget and possibly would need to “replace” my current pistol with if my wife pushes her desired “New replaces the Old / New item in sends an old item out” mindset if reducing clutter/excess.

I wear the belly band at my hips where my belt sits. My gun is then in the same spot it would be as if i were carrying IWB. All of the buttons are buttoned like normal. Somewhere there was a Rob Pincus video showing how to use the CrossBreed belly band and he recommended this methodology. This way, I can go from belly band to regular holster and the motion of drawing is the exact same and the gun is in the exact same place.

I guess I’ve got a similar problem as Tampon Tim and have a hard time with grammar

Dress PANTS

On the other hand, maybe I can get a DEI promotion… Funny, Klinger wore a dress to prove he was crazy, now people do it to prove they’re “special” and get special treatment…

I find that my Bianchi 152 pocket holster works well for me, especially with pleated dress slacks.

LOL

Reminds me of Ehud The Left-Handed Judge. I’ll need to remember this; I have discussed several times a non-fleeting interest in purchasing a formal kilt!

Possibly a tactical t-shirt that has the pocket shoulder holster for a single stack sub-compact. You would have to ruin your dress shirt to access quickly by ripping the shirt open, but you will have it with you.
