SMITH’S has a non-petroleum-based solution out now - it ain’t cheap - for lubing and cleaning Arkansas and diamond stones, although you can also use water and oil on the diamonds. XX- & X-coarse diamond stones are handy to have if you have a chipped blade - you can mend it, re-integrate it with the edge, and reset or even change the edge-bevels. FYI
