Displaying signs on property

So a chp friend said i should not display any signage that suggests homeowner is armed is not a good idea. Ive crazy pot growing neighbors. Only one is stupid enough to start a war with me, not armed war but legal war. I thought about displaying something not on the fence but on my property and visible from our shared road. Chp friend said if the neighbor trespassed and something happened i would be doubly liable because of the signage. Im curious to know your thoughts on this. Thanks.
