Your first layer needs to be the understanding that bad things can happen awareness. Locks no security system living or electronic works without time. A family dog can be extremely important especially when your asleep. Most no matter their size will give their lives to protect you. A dog is a two for, an alarm is only as good as an alarm clock, law enforcement your backup is time away a dog is in some way going to slow them down giving you purchase time. My Chihuahua thinks she’s ten feet tall in bullet proof as she is back up by one strong Aussie and he will chew on your backside. After that a hail of bullets from what ever me and my son grab first. Trust me it wouldn’t be pretty and we practice this scenario monthly due to the increase of crime in my City and County. I hope we never have to do it for real. Sad things are the way they are today, thank God our forefathers foreseen this mess and gave use are greatest right so we could protect all our rights from crime and tyranny!

While I was inviting someone to the USCCA Community they shared pictures of their German Shepherd… I sent them the link to this thread and saw the picture of my puppy who doesn’t look like that anymore!!
He’s MUCH bigger in just 2 months. He’s now taller and weighs as much as my 3 yo Pitbull. And he’s still making the pitbull tired!

Here’s one of our farm dogs with a couple of her pups - we have Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherds for livestock guard dogs, but they do general protection as well.
and a pair of them already on station with the red-haired greatgrandbaby.

Adorable! They grow so fast! Mine was that size in December and now he’s about 75 lbs and towers over my 3 yo pitbull. How old is it?

Only a few weeks. The lady we’ve been talking to was hoping their eyes would be open for our first visit. Looks like they are!

That’s awesome! We’re about worn out over here. 10 weeks old and after our second puppy checkup, Baron is 21.2 lbs and Bob is 18.6.

They’re fun guys. I just can’t believe how much they’ve grown in 3 weeks. We’re following a breeder’s advice, feeding adult food so they grow slowly into their bodies. I can’t imagine them growing faster.

These two are awesome. Those paws speak to the size of the saddle you’re gonna need.
We just lost our sons’s Pit Bull Stella, and now our Lab Honey isn’t doing too hot. Stella was only 3 years old, honey is 14 years old. Our grandkids keep asking for Stella and when we can bring her home. They don’t understand they’re 2 and 3.

Thanks Ken, I’ve been looking at paws and shaking my head. I’m hoping for normal 75-80lb boys, I don’t know if that’s going to work out too good for me. We’ve been keeping the lady who bred them up to date on Facebook, her response to the last checkup was simply “Holy cow”. That didn’t sound promising lol
It’s rough losing one, I lost my big greyhound several years ago and couldn’t imagine having another dog. Now there’s 4 running around here, 2 Yorkies and the 2 shepherd pups. I feel for the grandkids, it’s hard to explain to them at that age.
