While I’m not a fan of a stop box for theft prevention (a thief can just take the whole thing then get into it later)

That video effectively demonstrates their usefulness against simple curiosity.:+1:

Now that I have a four-year old grandson visiting, I’ve appreciated the stop box even more. I attached a cable to mine so no one can just grab it and go.

That’s what I use in the Barbie Jeep, on the very rare occasion that I Have To Lock it up before entering somewhere.

It took months of feeling buyer’s remorse but I now love it. If there’s another sale (a real one), I would buy one or two more.

I’ve got Vaultek LifePod XT and StopBox. Both are great .. but designed for different application.
I’m happy with both.
Vaultek works great whenever I’m traveling out of State for shooting classes. StopBox is awesome for local range trips. Security Cable allows me to leave the handgun in my car for some time.

There is no way unauthorized person can either steal those boxes / suitcases or get access to content.

Will they both hold a 5” pistol with an optic and TLR-1?

I use a couple different types in my vehicles. Depending on how much I use the vehicles determines what kind I use.

StopBox holds 5" handgun with optic and TLR-1 (TWM30) and extra 2 magazines

Vaultek (my version) is designed to handle 3 handguns - up to 5" with optic, but no light, or 4" handgun with optic and light.
To travel with 5" handgun with optic and light - I use a side tray. It fits ok, just have to order custom foam for it.
