It should never take months to approve a carry permit. Modern tech can scan someone’s background in hours. Powers that be are just making it so hard that folks give up and not even try.
Total infringement and unfortunately they are protected cuz they give the option.

It takes just as long to issue a permit as it does for law enforcement to find out if I have a permit…

We really need national reciprocity. When I go to IN from TX I make sure I avoid IL and quite a few states I have absolutely no plan on visiting. Why should I have to choose between legal jeopardy and physical safety to spend money in these states?

The obvious answer is more people want you to feel unsafe than safe. If that wasn’t the case, they would change the law.
