Since I was now able to get a CCW permit in my home state of Maryland, I was able to apply for a Pennsylvania permit. Application completed on line, $25 fee and approval was given in less that 24 hours. Had to go to the nearest County sheriffs office in PA to pick it up.

I see that my CA (of course!) resident and UT nonresident permits don’t have reciprocity.

You must have a permit for your State of residence. Here is the online application:
You also have to physical go to a Sheriff’s office in one of the counties in PA to pick up the license.

Oh, that’s a dealbreaker. My UT nonresident permit was sent by snail mail.
