I think I tend to agree with you and others. Our Constitutional rights are supposed to trump all others, amIright. So which is it. I’ve emailed my reps, and I get the “standard” form letter back so I don’t think they’re reading what I have sent. Typical.

I learned the hard way. I saw Orin Hatch in a restaurant. All I wanted to do was introduce myself and let him know I disagreed with… Something, slips my mind right now… got to about 20 feet from him and his fine young men in black suits stopped me, threatened to arrest me… That’s when you know, they don’t give a damn what the public has to say.

You raise some very good points in your commentary. My question is how often or how many times do people need to learn the same lesson.
Jewish community learned the very same lesson during World War II yet Israel like to keep the public guns maintained in armies around the country. Lotta damn good that did. Only after October 7 that they become less restrictive on private guns being maintained in the home. A lesson which should’ve been learned 90 years ago.
As far as blue states go it’s not about restriction to your safety as much as it is them having to lose control when they increase your firearm freedoms. Most blue states are about exercising control over the populous. Your personal safety is of no concern to them. Your whole existence is because You are a taxable source of revenue.
There are certain senators and congressmen in this country who will not change their voting stance regards of how many letters they receive concerning second amendment freedoms . I firmly believe the best way to gain more second amendment freedoms in this country is to get more people involved in shooting. Usually people who own firearms enjoy the rights that come with them and we’ll vote accordingly
Our true salvation will be getting more people involved with firearms either because of self-defense or other shooting sports. We need to swell our numbers because currently the second amendment means nothing to too many people

So much hostility. I do have a plan for ending the war. Several of them in fact. We will call them A,B,C, and D. Plus I am sure President Trump is waiting for my letter since he ignored yours.
Plan A: Everybody returns to their prewar borders. I like this one the most.
Plan B: Russia annex’s Ukraine, heck they used to own it anyways.
Plan C: Ukraine annex’s Russia. That will show them Commies what’s what.
Plan D: Annexation of Puerto Rico. With a video snip. It’ll confuse em all

Until the 90’s Israel basically had a gun in every home as active and reserve soldiers were expected to have their firearms available 24/7/365. Until a shooting happened that that caused a big enough outcry and the .Gov removed their firearms to armory’s around the cities and countryside. Which I’m sure they regret now in light of October 7th.
My understanding now is that they are loosening the requirements once again on private ownership.

For me, i totally agree with statements like this. But then, way too often, there’s a part like this, (Gun controls work for the criminal and against the victim, that is why gun laws are supported by the left and the liberals. Statements like that are great if you want to promote right over left ideology and use guns to do it, keeping things as they are.
If you’d rather point out that people with ill will towards others will accomplish what they want with or without guns and that the gun community, by and large, is on the same side as the law abiding general public to promote public safety through being armed you wouldn’t go out of your way to keep the division as it exists and present pro gun views trying to include everyone and get them over to our side on this specific issue.

Very well written. I ask the same question, of WHY is nothing being done? I live in Las Vegas, so any short motorcycle rides that cross over into Communist California, puts me in jeopardy of becoming a felon. My Senators and House Representative are all Democrats, so expecting any support from them is a complete waste. This issue has been kicked down the road for years with NOTHING happening. I am 70 years old who possesses a CCW,but am denied my 2A right to defend myself whenever I travel. I moved to LV upon ret from Colorado where 5 generations are buried and I lived/worked for 62 years, yet they are exactly like Communist California. My CCW is not recognized or honored by reciprocity, thus removing my ability to carry a firearm. Forget about transporting a long gun with a large capacity magazine. Colorado will turn you into a criminal. Thank you for bringing this important issue to the attention of the readers.

Good point. Women in particular, who were involved in domestic violence with former relationships, are banned FOR LIFE of owning or possessing a firearm, thus removing their ability to self defense.

Those voting options are pretty limited considering the current two parties. Communism on the left or DO NOTHING REPUBLICANS. A vote for any Libertarian is a wasted vote. I agree entirely with your concern. Republicans hold the top three and cant do squat regarding the 2nd Amendment. We’ve seen this before where the House passes a national reciprocity Bill and the Communist Controlled Senate doesn’t bring it to a vote. Hopefully this group of elected leaders get their act together before the midterm elections.

Everything you presented is exactly the opposite of reality. Congressional members go to DC to get rich and line their pockets with wealth. They don’t care about your safety or this issues would be addressed. How do you push out corrupt POS legislators like Mitch The Bitch McConnell or a prune face Nancy Pelosi or Maxine Waters who get reelected over and over. Educate the voting populace? GOOD LUCK ON THAT. Four years of lies, fraud, failed policies, broken laws and the leftist idiots still support their Democratic Party masters.
