On the national level how many gun owners would give up their guns?

What are your opinions?

If I owned any, I’d totally comply.

Depends on your situation. If you’re like many I know, they have, let’s just say, more than 1 gun. If you’re also like many, you’ve got that one collecting dust that for whatever reason you care little about. That’s the one turned in to get them hopefully off your back. On the other hand, if it’s the only one you own, it was the one lost in last months boating accident. In other words, few to none.

Remember this,

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

So first I need to support and defend the Constitution then I need to obey the President of the United States.

I’d be surprised if a poll showed 50% would comply.

My best calculation is exactly 2 people would comply. :joy:

Probably more people would comply than we think. But New England laws with some of those bans have had pretty low compliance rates even in liberal NE.

The Elephant Butte Lake tragedy…

I am so sorry this event has been brought up again, Brother, and If you need, I’m here. You know I have experience with that type of loss with the unfortunate stripper/mudslide incident I experienced in Bora-Bora.

You bring the root beer, and I will get the ice and Doritos.

I will give up my firearms when I am dead or in prison for possessing them. Any Government that wants to strip me, a law abiding citizen with no criminal background of my 2nd Amendment right is doing so for nefarious reasons.

If I owned any that would mean I believe in the 2A and the Constitution which means Death before Dishoner.

A government intent on confiscating firearms will never believe ā€˜you only have one gun’.

I recently discovered the firearms I thought I lost in a boating accident in the desert. Then I found that I do not own them, they are owned by a trust. I went to ask the admin of the trust if he would comply, but he plead the fifth, as I did not want to incriminate myself. So, I don’t know… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

History ignored is history repeated.

Ignorant gun owners will comply.

American tyrants who forget about 1776 will try confiscation.

I don’t recall ever being relieved of this oath.

Actually it looks like it ā€œcouldā€ be pretty easy. I know more felons than I will admit to, they and their families willingly comply with the felon in possession laws. Hand over the guns knives and drugs just to keep kido at home. If the fed implemented some form or version of that, based on say, Professions, Location of ones residence or such I believe a lot of sheeple would simply hand them over.
