NY: Hunting license req'd AND a drug test and mental health evaluation. Plus only 2 magazines of ammo every 120 days

Proposed laws prefiled in NY this year (2020):

4. Sales of ammunition not prohibited. Nothing contained in this section shall be construed to prevent, or interfere in any way with, the sale of ammunition for revolvers or pistols of any kind, or for rifles, shot guns, or other arms, belonging or which may belong to any persons whether as sporting or hunting weapons or for the purpose of protection to them in their homes, or, as they may go abroad; and manufacturers are authorized to continue to manufacture, and wholesalers and dealers to continue to deal in and freely to sell ammunition to all such persons for such purposes. Provided, however, the sale of ammunition for assault weapons, as defined by subdivision twenty-two of section 265.00 of this title shall be limited to two times the capacity of an authorized weapon over a one hundred twenty day period. For purposes of this subdivision, ā€œauthorized weaponā€ shall mean a weapon registered in accordance with subdivision sixteen-a of section 400.00 of this chapter. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the violation of this subdivision shall constitute a class E felony.

sooo… you may fill your magazine TWICE every 120 days. :scream:

AND… you have to have a hunting license to buy a long gun… and to get that you have to have a doctor’s note saying you passed a drug test AND a mental health evaluation!!! :scream: :scream: :scream:

AN ACT to amend the penal law and the environmental conservation law, in relation to establishing additional requirements to purchase a firearm, shotgun or rifle.

As a tax payer and U.S. citizen can I list NY & CA on eBay? No reserve.

Think we can pay someone to take them?

I don’t know, we’d recover that money fast enough. I just don’t see other countries being willing to take on that drama.

How much do you think you will have to pay to get rid of them?

Maybe we just need to wall off NYC and send in Snake Plissken. Wait didn’t this work for LA too?

Alaska hell…Schiff needs to worry about President Trump selling off those two States (CA & NY) to the Russians…

Again, I have left comments and talked with my Senator’s office on these. Fortunately I am a ā€œKeeper of Ammunitionā€ and can buy as much Ammo as I want! I’m also 10 miles from the PA border.

They won’t pass.

New York?
The same Communist state and the city of the same name that disarms Americans, and now by law releases the names and addresses of witnesses who will testify against the criminal…to the criminal’s defense attorney…
and they have had several of these witnesses shot at, beaten, killed, attacked… all after the law was enacted and the witness contact information has been handed over to the Defense Attorney… all while keeping the witness disarmed and unable to protect themselves.

One witness who was scheduled to testify against 9 MS-13 gang members was immediately attacked and beaten after his contact information was given to the MS-13 gang member’s attorney, and the next day he was found dead… and another witness was shot at…
and crime in up 5% in the one town with the MS-13 case… and it is up 16% in New York City…

Hey, why testify, if you will be targeted by the criminal… Thank you Democrats in charge of New York.

Couldn’t we just send the commies all to California and then wall it off and sell it to North Korea? They want to be ā€œsocialistā€ I say let ā€˜em, though I’m betting 99.99999% would be unhappy if they actually got their wish.

Good luck, I have been trying to give Chicago to Indiana for years.

Who’s running the insane asylums now! So what do we, as free law abiding citizens, do about it? All the protests, letter writing and phone calls didn’t do squat! Who is really running our country? It’s not us!

@Scott52 Missouri is working on passing the Second Amendment Preservation Act. OK, WV, SC are all following suit. Not sure where you are, but maybe work on on getting that on the ballot… it’s pretty strong medicine.

Sorry, but all these ACTs were established in the wordsā€shall not be infringedā€.
Well I would like us to start a Constitutional Preservation Act, that states don’t (*&$#) with our constitution.
Look, New York, Virginia and all other blue states have gone completely nuts.
We need ERPO laws for these states! Not the people but the state entities. I propose sanctions for California, remove all federal dollars. They don’t deserve our hard earned money only to allow criminal freedoms, to kill, rob, rape etc and then be set free to continue, don’t want to ā€œinfringeā€ on their rights!
If it doesn’t pass does that mean the 2A is invalid or not worth abiding by?

I think most of any NY politician is nuts… And some are considering a vote for president to Mike (the mayor)
I don’t know which state is worse, NY or Calf… I do know I will not travel to or through any one of them. In most states I understand that major crime has decreased with concealed-carry.
KCMO has a major problem with teens getting guns (teens in gangs) and it has been a real issue. It would help if they would prosecute the friends (and girl friends) giving these guns to them.

I am so glad to have escaped NY for TN. It’s like another planet in another universe. So much better. It’s like comparing antimatter to matter.

This is the back of my (TWRA) TN Wildlife Resources Agency, Lifetime (Permanent) Senior Citizen Resident Sports License, one level below the Sportsman License that is more inclusive…

I can do more for less in TN than I could in NY, and without their ridiculous restrictions.
