Nutcracker: The Motion Picture (1986}

I’m an amateur classic film buff - for a change this holiday season, watch this. It may not stop the breaking of toys, but delay it for a couple of hours. This is the 3rd ballet masterpiece by Tchaikovsky, hosted by Tony Randall, with music performed by Sir Charles Mackerras and the London Symphony Orchestra. The sets and costumes are reproductions of the originals, and the dances were performed by the North Pacific Ballet - all shot in 10 days, at a cost of $350K - watch any other version, and you’re cheating yourself.
