The movie “Snow White” has not been a box office success. At $43 million domestically and close to $90 million world-wide it may or may not be the single worst movie Disney has ever made. Time will tell. Many a right-wing podcast predicted a flop. No matter. Disney makes tens of billions of dollars from their theme parks alone. Their many assets; ABC, ESPN, The View, MCU, Star Wars, etc. ensure that they will not miss a beat going forward. But there is some good news. The alt media has shown it’s power to influence the landscape culturally, and the American population in general has resisted the BS coming from Woke Hollywood. This is important. For up to now the MSM has had a stranglehold on American values, dictating what and what is not acceptable in society. The Democratic party promotes domestic terrorism based on what car you drive. They promote gender manipulation based on what sex you are born into. They promote racial tensions because a movie character created in 1937 was white. The direction of this country changed for a reason in 2024. Let’s keep the change going past 2028.
It’s actually pretty simple, if you put a product on the market that sucks nobody will consume it. If you are a company that prescribes to a philosophy that most of your prospective customers find stupid, disgusting and offensive most of your prospective customers won’t give you money to consume it. It does not matter how you explain it, it does not matter what you call them, it does not matter if you think you are on the right side of the subject.

I had to watch Wicked the other day. I was curious about it. I waited to watch it for free because I was not going to pay for it and I am glad. It amazes me that they take the wicked witch and make her the heroin in the movie and Goulinda was the white clueless chick that only cared about her popularity. Bu doing this it makes Dorthy who killed the Wicked witch’s sister a bad character
I would have to say that Snow White probably is better than wicked because she gets to shack up with seven dwarfs and not height challenged little people. All in All,
That is just my thoughts on it. Some movies that became classics started out as bombs and then later they came to being. after time. Who knows? Who cares?
How does that make Dorthy a bad person though, it’s not like she planned for her house to land on the Witch’s Sister. Have not Seen Wicked, hated the Wizard of Oz as a child so didn’t see the need to traumatize myself as an adult. Also I feel all these prequels, reboots, remakes, whatever are just Hollywood being lazy. Now if Disney wanted to impress me, they could do movies based on the original Brother’s Grimm’s stories where violence and gore is in full detail. I would totally go see a live action Snow White based on the original Brother’s Grimm.
Walt Disney was smart when he made animated cartoons such as Bambi, Dumbo, etc. In doing so, he insured that he could re-release these movies into the theatres every 6 or so years to a totally new audience of rug rats, thus insuring a nearly permanent source of income. I personally haven’t been to a theatre in 10 years or more as the new movies are all either some variation of some Marvel crap or bad remakes of bad versions of “original” shows that, invariably, bring “SUCKING” to new heights of LOW.

The recent posts in this thread reminded me of a movie that I watched years ago. It wasn’t very popular and it was quite twisted, much more so than the prequel.

In the original Snow White it’s not her Step-Mom but her real mom and she wants to eat her organs. Plus when Snow White and the Prince kill the mom, they do it by forcing her to dance in red hot iron shoes till she falls over dead.

Don’t want to be the hypocrite here but Ms. Zegler can act and she has the pipes (she can sing). It’s really her character that is repulsive. We’ll need to wait until this weekends tally is out to officially brand this movie dead. But there is hope on the horizon. John Wicks Ballerina is out in June and 28 Years Later I think will open in May.

Let’s be honest John Wick and 28 Years Later are completely different beasts than Child Friendly Snow White. However I hated the original Disney film so saw no reason to see the live action. If we are going to complain about Disney changing the storyline, at least complain they deviated from the original script written down by the Brother’s Grimm. I don’t really care if Disney portrays Snow White as a Transgender Black Woman in a polyamorous relationship with 7 illegals suffering from height disadvantage. Anyone with money can tell the story, Disney does not own Snow White, she is public domain. However I can choose to watch or not watch what they send out. And I am just waiting for Alien Earth to drop.

Within a few days we’ll know officially how bad Snow has bombed. Minecraft debuts on Friday and by the end of Sunday the world will know if Disney has truly laid a turd. This thread will disappear but before it does I’d like to defend Rachel Zegler. It is clear Rachel has many issues. She can’t control her comments off the set and she is prone to outbursts that disrespect many political as well as traditional ideologies. She lacks maturity and common sense, things which may eventually come to her as she ages. Yet, she has talent. She’s no Meryl Streep. She doesn’t have the pipes of Rhianna. But the potential is there - if she can tone down her antics she could be a star. The real culprit here is Disney. Specifically Bob Iger, who has triple-downed on the DEI agenda. He is the mentor of woke culture in the film industry and I can only imagine how bad it’s going to get. Will The Godfather be “re-imagined” with Dylan Mulvaney in the titular role of Don Corleone? Hollywood is the harbinger of destruction. The true battle for America may be at the box-office and not the polls.
