New M&P Shield Plus

Is your PC shield ported? If so have you ever tried it from high and/or low retention? I’d be curious to try a ported and unported with the same barrel length to see the difference in blast when the gun is closer in to the body.

@Shamrock, after I purchased my PC I always loved it. But now that I’ve owned it for a while my love got stronger. Most of the negative comments would probably come from people who just aren’t into ported barrels and slides who are too lazy to clean the gun an extra ten minutes.

I can tell you it fires flawlessly and at night you may get more of a flash.

Sounds like a nice piece. My only revolver is a 357 from their Performance Center. The trigger is superb.

Don’t think the extra flash would bother me. I am noise sensitive though so if it increases the decibels at the shooters ear I would probably avoid it. The negatives I read about porting mostly refer to the blast being disorientating when it hits you directly in the face which can happen when you shoot them while braced against your chest or waist in a close contact situation.

Yes sir the noise is louder and if you are noise sensitive then you should avoid it.

The price was filtered by Community Admins… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
But you won’t be disappointed once you click on the link.
$38.85 is not the best price, I saw them for $36.95… but at least they are in stock again.
Other places I found had them for more than $45 :triumph:

Now, you dry fire 142 times and you have your $50 back… oh, perhaps not back into your wallet, but saving means saving.
