“My way or the Highway” and they told the Right the WE were the threat to democracy.
“Of those surveyed, 44% would like to move, but probably won’t, while 5% said they will definitely move and another 5% said they probably will.”
Are they saying the American system is only tolerable if thier point of view is supports? Man, they seem to forget WE lived through 4 elections, 2 for Barry and 2 for Joe that put some of the farthest left “leaders” in the country in the White House but we didn’t run into the bedroom, climb under the blankets and shiver and cry. Oh Well, all I can say Pick Canada, you’ll really really like the Government there…
Please, move to Canada.
If they’re not presently residing in CA or NY, please do not move there. Move to Canada
Actually that’s the way the system is supposed to work. We need to encourage folks to move close to likeminded people and make sure their community reflects their values.
The system breaks when they move into a community that does NOT reflect their values and immediately try to change the landscape against the majority standard. It’s ok to be an independent thinker. It’s NOT ok to expect everyone to comply with YOUR independent thinking or even to be ok with if it goes against the community’s will.
This is of course a concept at the highest level but it does apply to towns, cities, counties, states and countries.
And this is the reason our Founding Fathers created a Republic of States and gave the states the independence to govern themselves with the Federal Government only providing Services for the common good.
You Hit it Out of the Park, again!!
Enzo is right on. Only one thing to add, hope the 5% do go, they need to be somewhere where their socialist/communist ideas are embraced so they can see once and for all it’s nothing shy of slavery. Adios! Also means that these slim margins of victory for us will no longer be slim.
@Mike164 The Canadians are still waiting for all of the so-called stars and celebrities. Maybe all of these loony tunes could join them. I say give them to Canada, they’ll take anyone!
There’s a simple solution to ease the suffering of US crybabies who want to leave. Pair them up with an illegal alien and buy them both a plane ticket on the same flight so they can bond as they fly to Canada, Haiti, Venezuela, whatever…
It’s a win all around. It’ll save the rest of us from having to listen to the whining and save taxpayer money while getting rid of the trash dragging us down.
Then close the border!
They can go to Venezuela if they want a socialist government
A few thoughts to consider…
Who is the Real America?
More than a few (on the left and the right) are considering moving to other countries because of everyday issues that affect the everyday citizen. There are countries where there is little to no violence, no car-jacking, no school shootings, no riots in the streets, and people are not filled with hate, bickering, and finger-pointing (on both sides, not one, both sides of the political arena).
Many expats say they notice something unusual right away. The people in these countries talk to one another, have high moral and ethical values, and are friendly to one another and to the expats. Most of the country’s citizens couldn’t care less who is in power. They work hard, get along, and get on with their lives. Children can play outside in the open and mothers and fathers are not fearful of them being abducted. Families are tight and care for one another (rare in America; dysfunctional families are everywhere).
We, on the other hand, live in a land of luxury, but are fearful to go out on the street or allow our children to go out after the sun sets. Think about that. Is living in fear and having to be on ‘high alert’ every time you step outside your home or drive in your car luxury living? Without pointing a finger, when did that become the norm? Who is to blame? Got a mirror? All of us need to look in the mirror.
We all allowed this to happen over decades of living, moving up, ignoring what is happening. Sending our kids to rotten schools from elementary to university (indoctrination centers), knowing or ignoring what they were teaching was BS. All of a sudden, some parents wake up during the COVID lockdowns and scream at the deaf school boards. A little late. We all have skin in this game, whether you have kids or do not have kids. This nation’s children are our future, your future, your children’s future.
Most Americans do not want to compromise. If you do not agree with someone, you are shunned, silenced, mocked, or blamed. We create labels and character assassination of our citizens and think somehow we have ‘won’ something if we get enough ‘likes’ or ‘thumbs up’ on a social media platform. Won what? Resolved what problem?
We keep electing elites into the White House instead of those who represent America (and lawyers, millionaires, and billionaires do not represent America). So, where is the plumber, carpenter, electrician, master mechanic, truck driver, merchant vessel worker, or factory worker on the presidential advisory staff or his cabinet? His cabinet should be heavily loaded with these working-class citizens who do the heavy lifting for our nation. Who will advise the man in charge of what really needs to be done to help those who work hard and still live paycheck to paycheck?
Blue-collar America is the real America, not the elites on both sides of the spectrum. If you do not think so, have your car die on you, and who do you take it to? Your home floods from broken pipes and who do you call? Are you good at putting on a new roof from start to finish? How about digging in a mine or working in a factory (both necessary to produce almost everything you have in your home, car, etc…)?
I voted for the more righteous of the two, but I am not expecting much change. Lots of bickering, blaming, flame-throwing, and playing a ‘win at all costs’ game. That isn’t America, and that’s not representing America by any stretch of the imagination. We need to shut up, fess up to our iniquities, sit down, and get to work with one another (emphasis, one another).
Enough is enough. Guns and bullets aren’t going to save the country, and neither is gossip and blaming. What’s done is done. Time for healing. My advice is to stop listening to those who want to talk about problems and point fingers. Start listening to those who talk about solutions to the issues of our time. Add your input. No blaming, no flame-throwing, but positive input without the emotion attached.
Ideas are the first spark necessary to solve the problems our nation faces. All the problems, not just a handful. We have 300+ million people with 300+ million ideas. One good idea out of a thousand, or a hundred thousand, or a million could be the spark we need. What are we waiting for? We are running out of time; the clock is ticking…
The US is the only country where people say they hate America, but will not leave! I have offered to buy them a one way nonrefundable ticket to wherever, but as of yet none have taken me up on it.
I guess I live in a Different America than you do.
1 down.
Think anyone would mind if I stood behind them and time the door hitting their ass on the way out? Rhetorical
Oh Common Man, you just want to look at Eva’s Bbbu… Oh Just Forget It
I don’t see a problem with that. My wife might not like it though.
