Accurate. Reliable. Fits my hands perfectly. Even it’s serial number is unique. My baby shoots like it’s a part of my arm. But because of the upgrades it’s relegated to the range. The laws need changing. I weep every time I put it away.
Copy paste… “what is it?”
What law(s)?
You in CA?
This is a “stock” Glock 43 with a few tweaks. Apex trigger set. Double Diamond match barrel. Upgraded spring set. Holosun 507. Stainless steel pins. Hyve mag release. Two round extension mag.
How’s the recoil?
What law(s) are you referring to that needs changing?
That would suck, i got something similar with my G43 minus the red dot and i carry mine every day. Even MI would allow that set up
The mag release would make it illegal in CA.
Wouldnt doubt it in that state, but hes still under 10 rounds…
Stil trying to figure out what mod would make it illegal but then again, thats the reason i dont live in CA
What’s stock on this?? The frame?
Same .
Glocks are known to cause cancer in the state of California
My guesses were trigger pull too light or lack of a manual safety, but then I found this link. Turns out there’s a roster of approved guns, and an annual fee required from manufacturers to keep your gun on that list. Dang …got a 43 myself, Hyve outfitted, one of 7 Glock based guns. Answer to the recoil question above, I have no issue with standard load 115 grain with it, found some hot Turkish loads stung like crazy, and my 115 standard defense rounds are fine, the 147grain +p defense rounds are doable but better in the 19/17. The +2 mags allow another finger on the grip which makes the 147+p okay, but generally I carry this gun for the least obtrusive days and go with the 6 round flush mag/115 standard load.
Haven’t had any recoil issues even when I shoot one-handed. The extended mag adds weight so very minimal.
I think I’m concerned that if there was a shooting on my part, the DA would point out the modifications on the firearm, making it easier and more accurate to shoot and severely injure and/or kill… Wouldn’t that come out in a court case?
Frame is stock. But everything that can be changed has been changed - upgraded.
That isn’t because of the modifications though, right? Even 100% stock the gun wouldn’t be on the roster?
Is there a list of modifications (other than mag capacity) that CA law doesn’t allow to carry pistols? I am not aware of such a thing
Anything and Everything will come out in a court case! Negatives sounding stuff by the prosecution and positive sounding stuff by the defense. It’s a game of who can hit the jury’s target emotional threshold.
ALWAYS REMEMBER: None of the attorneys for either side are under oath.
No, if gun’s not on the roster I’d imagine you could do anything you wanted to make it more illegaller
Looking at OP’s responses, it seems he feels the mods make it sketchy in a courtroom, no argument here, but no mention of California being a residence, thinking we just assumed that which is why I did the state related search…
Yeah…frankly I don’t think there is any law that makes it illegal for OP to carry that gun because of the mods (unless it’s over a magazine limit).
But there are too-many laws out there so maybe there is one we are not aware of?
I think OP simply feels the mods give the DA too much ammunition, even without a punisher skull. OP has a point, I suppose, at least in some jurisdictions.
Otoh, with the amount of aftermarket Glock upgrades available and the percentage of people doing these upgrades…
My Glocks in general get better sights, extended slide releases, and steel op rods. No worries about carrying.
