YES ! Walther shoots by itself
NO KIDDING. I’ve got the same with PPQ. I was amazed how easy this gun hit center of the target every time. Distance did’t matter. 40 ft or 15 ft → no difference.
I don’t know, if this is because of grip ergonomics or how the gun is designed… hard to tell, but this is the best shooter ever… and of course my son loved it so much that I gave it to him ![]()
Now since you can put the bullet where it needs to go, have you observed laws and studied some de-escalation tactics?
Here is something you can read https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/blog/the-real-cost-of-escalation/
I was thinking this had a lot to do with that gun itself. I just tell it (aim) at where I want it to go, and that’s where the bullet goes. It didn’t just go where I wanted it to as much yesterday at the range, but pretty darn close. I noticed after quite a few rounds that I had forgotten to grip the thing correctly, and I think that was a lot of the issues because when I finally remembered to do that, my aim was back to where it was when I was with an instructor that kept me from holding it wrong.
I was taught the laws, but despite paying attention, my retention has been crap. I’ve been rereading them the last few days now though.
No, I haven’t studied any de-escalation tactics at all. I will read the link you provided and work on that. Thank you!
That’s the trick ! Good grip is a must of accurate shooting.
I get a better understanding of laws reading myself. Also, I can gain my own understanding.
The main concern is not allowing another person or yourself into pulling a gun. Like in Shreveport Louisiana State Fair mass fist fighting turned into a shooting. I’m cool tempered. but also we could make someone else act in a crazy manner.
When I read your link, I was thankful that I’m usually that kind of person who doesn’t escalate in that manner. That said, perhaps there’s other instances of escalation that I do participate in. I will try to do some quiet reflection on what situations in the past I’ve participated in such a thing, and how I could have better handled myself.
I’m just like that! – I just can’t be aggressive because I’m so soft hearted.
I love my Walther. To quote a friend when he first held my CCP, “This thing feels like I could bulls-eye all day!”
